(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Hai Taken to Qiqihar Brainwashing Center

Mr. Li Hai was released from Daqing Prison on April 17, 2014, after being illegally imprisoned there for 12 years. The next day, he was arrested again and taken to the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center by the 610 Office of Daqing Petroleum Corporation, the 610 Office of Daqing Oilfield Venture Group, and the 610 Office of Sanam Industrial Corporation of Venture Group.

2. [Donga County, Shandong Province] Mr. Cheng Wendong Arrested

Mr. Cheng Wendong is from Xiaohou Village in Erzhuang Town, Qiu County. He was arrested at Jianglou Town, Donga County, on the evening of April 14, 2014, for distributing materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers went to his home and confiscated all of his truth-clarification materials and Falun Gong books.

3. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxia Arrested

Ms. Sun Xiuxia was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Section of the Forestry Bureau Police Department in Quanyang Town on the evening of April 17, 2014.

4. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Lu Yinxia Sentenced

The Qingyang City Intermediate Court recently sentenced Ms. Lu Yinxia to four years in prison. She was transferred to the Gansu Women's Prison on April 16, 2014.

She was once held at the Ning County Detention Center for 11 months.

5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Quan Wuzhou Recently Arrested

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Cuibo Arrested

Mr. Zhang Cuibo was arrested at work by Zhang Chunjie, captain of the Yantai City Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Jiaoqiao Police Station on the morning of April 18, 2014. His home was ransacked.

7. [Liuyang City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Chen Jinbing and Ms. Yan Donglian were arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of April 17, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Luo Dan was also arrested that day at home by officers from the Huaichun Police Station. They ransacked her home and confiscated six printers, three computers, a recorder, a camera, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and truth-clarification materials. They also took 30,000 yuan in cash from her father.

All three practitioners are being held at the Huaichuan Police Station in Liuyang City.

8. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Dama's Home Ransacked

Ms. Liu Dama's home was ransacked by five officers including Tong Qingwu from Xishui County in Huanggang City on April 17, 2014. They confiscated four printers, a laptop computer, 3,000 yuan in cash, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

9. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhong Qifen, Ms. He Daniang, and Mr. Fang Daye were arrested at Ms. Zhong's home by officers from the Qiande Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 18, 2014. They are all being held at the Longju Police Station.

10. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Jianyou and Ms. Ye Jianxin Detained

Ms. Ye Jianyou and Ms. Ye Jianxin were arrested on the afternoon of April 18, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Huadu Police Station.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Yu Xiangdong Detained

Ms. Yu Xiangdong, 69, was arrested and taken to the Pudong Detention Center by local officers on March 3, 2014. The officers ransacked her house and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, and truth-clarification materials.

12. [Zaoyang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhao Shunrong Arrested

Mr. Zhao Shunrong was arrested at home on April 16, 2014, and his home ransacked.

13. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Longying Detained

Ms. Wang Longying was arrested by officers from the Yongan Police Station in the Xianan District on the morning of April 18, 2014. She is being held at the police station.

14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xiao Xian Arrested

Ms. Xiao Xian was arrested on the afternoon of April 18, 2014.

15. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Chun Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Chun, 43, was arrested in early April 2014 and admitted to the Jinan City Administrative Detention Center. She was held for 15 days before being transferred to a brainwashing center on April 18, 2014.

16. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Shifang Arrested

Ms. Lu Shifang was arrested on the afternoon of April 16, 2014.
