(Minghui.org) I remember very well about the flood that occurred on August 13, 2005. It started raining very early that day at about 3:00 a.m. and it didn't stop until after 10:00 a.m. I could see through my window that it was pouring.
A six meter-wide road separated my home from the river bank. I could hear water rushing down along the river. When I put on my raincoat and rushed over to the river bank to see what was happening, I saw that the water in the river was in the process of moving above its bank onto the roadway.
Most villagers were not aware of the danger. Hence, I ran as fast as I could to warn the villagers, one house at a time. In one of the houses no adults were home, so I brought the children to their relatives. I couldn't remember how many homes I reached. The only thought in my mind at the time was to warn as many homes as I could.
The flood water came, and it was like a moving wall of water. Many homes were crushed. Debris was everywhere.
In the aftermath, people were saying that they were grateful to Dafa practitioners for warning them.
The local officials came to assess the damage. To their amazement my home was not crushed, but one of my neighbor's was. Equally amazing was that the roadway in front of my home was preserved, while a portion in front of my next door neighbor's was cut off. One official said, “The flood water seemed to have turned away from the homes of Dafa practitioners. It is unbelievable!” I told them it was our Teacher that protected us. All the village officials raised their arms and shouted, “Falun Dafa is great!”
All the villagers saw what happened. Now, when they see me, they 'll say to me happily, “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is truly good!”
