Ms. Luo Xinping Granted Medical Parole Then Arrested Again

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Xinping, who had been granted medical parole, went to the Litong District Court in Wuzhong City on July 4, 2014, to submit a physical examination report. She was arrested, sentenced to prison, and taken to Qingtongxia City Detention Center.

Ma Xiaopo from the Litong District Court had called and told Ms. Luo to appear at the courthouse on July 4. He told her to bring along results of her physical exam. Accompanied by family members, Ms. Luo arrived at the courthouse in the morning.

Zhao Bin, deputy head of the Litong Police Department, and Ma Minglang, head of the Domestic Security Division, were already waiting in the office of court deputy Ma Wanqing. Ma Xiaopo took Ms. Luo to the courtroom and a woman read out a verdict sentencing her to four years in prison. Ms. Luo and her family were told to sign the verdict, but refused. A court official signed on her behalf. Zhao Bin and Ma Qinglang then took Ms. Luo to the Qingtongxia City Detention Center.

Ms. Luo and Ms. Mo Huiping were arrested in February 2013. Ms. Luo was subsequently released to recuperate at home from very high blood pressure and a weak heart. Ms. Mo was sentenced to four years in prison and taken to Yinchuan Women's Prison. The Litong District Court tried Ms. Luo on May 16, 2014, but did not announce a verdict.
