Additional Persecution News from China – June 28, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yian County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaobo Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xiaobo was arrested and taken to the Detention Center No. 1 in Qiqihar by officers from the local police station.

2. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Several Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Ms. Kong Qingmei was arrested by officers from the Meiyuan Police Station in the Xuanwu District on June 11, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated all her paper bills that had messages about the persecution of Falun Gong written on them. She was released that evening. She has been arrested dozens of times by officers from the Danfengjie, Meiyuan, and Soujin Village Police Stations for the same reason.

Mr. Zhao Zhifang was arrested on June 11, 2014. He was released after being held at the Shifosi Detention Center for ten days.

Ms. Wang Huilan was arrested twice in mid-May and early June 2014. She was released due to her righteous thoughts.

Ms. Hui Yajuan was arrested in late May 2014 for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held at a police station for 15 days.

Mr. Zong Hua was harassed at home by officers in mid-June 2014.

Mr. Li Weiping and his wife, Ms. Kao Zhiwu, were harassed and photographed against their will at home by officers from the police station and sub-district office.

Ms. Chen Mingchui was arrested on June 15, 2014. She is being held at the Shifosi Detention Center.

Ms. Li Qun refused to be interrogated by officers from the Ruijinlu Police Station in mid-June 2014. Her whereabouts is unknown.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Xianfeng and Mr. Zhu Zhenli Arrested

Ms. Yin Xianfeng and her husband, Mr. Zhu Zhenli, were arrested by officers from the Zhiyuan City Police Station in the Lixia District on the afternoon of June 26, 2014.

4. [Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wu Lianfen and Ms. Zhou Tingting Arrested

Ms. Wu Lianfen and her daughter, Ms. Zhou Tingting, were recently arrested.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Zunlan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Zunlan was arrested at home by officers from the Xiashan District 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division of the Xiashan Police Department at noon on June 25, 2014. She was taken to the Weifang City Detention Center and her home was completely ransacked.

6. [Yuanling County, Hunan Province] Ms. Peng Guoqing Detained

Ms. Peng Guoqing, 61, was arrested by officers from the Chengdong Police Station, Yuanling Town at noon on June 16, 2014, for distributing truth-clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Yuanling County Detention Center.

Ms. Peng has been arrested and held five times since the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. She was held at the Huaihua Brainwashing Center once, sentenced twice, and incarcerated in Changsha Women's Prison for seven and a half years. She was severely tortured mentally and physically.

7. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Yuewen Detained

Mr. Zhang Yuewen was arrested by officers from the Gongnong Town Police Station around May 31, 2014. He is being held at the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

8. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Mr. Su Yashan Detained

Mr. Su Yashan was arrested by five officers, including Zhang Yuming, the director of the Hongmei Town Police Station, on the evening of June 19, 2014. The police confiscated two laptop computers, two printers, two CD burners, and several CDs. Mr. Su is being held at the Meihekou City Detention Center.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Yue Detained

Ms. Wang Yue from Henan Province is being held at the Putuo District Detention Center in Shanghai.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Junfeng Detained

Mr. Ma Junfeng, a staff member the Qingdao Bohai Ltd., was arrested at work by officers from the Qingdao City Police Department on June 25, 2014, for talking to his colleagues about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Qingdao City Detention Center

11. [Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yao Aiying Harassed

Ms. Yao Aiying was once held in Jiangxi Province Women's Prison for four and a half years. She was recently harassed and threatened by officials.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Huiying Detained

Ms. Chen Huiying was arrested by officers from the Songnan Police Station and the 610 Office of the Baoshan Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of March 20, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution. She was taken to the Baoshan District Detention Center and released on April 18, 2014.

Ms. Chen was again arrested and taken to the Baoshan District Detention Center by officers from the Songnan Police Station on May 19, 2014, for the same reason. This time she was held for 15 days and released on June 3, 2014.

The police ransacked her home twice and confiscated four electronic books, Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, a Minghui Weekly, audiotapes and videotapes of Master's lectures, as well as paper bills with messages about the persecution of Falun Gong on them.

13. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Yang Manyu and four other officers broke into and ransacked the homes of Mr. Xiao Jianhao and Mr. Zhen Liaoyuan again. They confiscated a DVD player and a satellite receiver from Mr. Xiao's home and also a satellite receiver from Mr. Zhen's home.
