(Minghui.org) My son was driving me home one evening in May. When we were close to home, the car hit a tree on the side of the road. The front side of the car was badly damaged. I was sitting in the passenger seat and I was stuck in the car and unable to move.
I heard my son calling me but I was too weak to answer. My son was scared. I thought: I'm a Dafa practitioner. I won't allow the old forces to persecute me even if I haven't cultivated well. I'm Master Li Hongzhi's disciple. I asked Master to save me. I was too weak to make any sound. I shouted in my heart: Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!
Master did save me! I slowly climbed out of the wreckage and I thanked Master.
Looking Inward for the Cause
After the accident, I looked inward to find out why this happened. My son had been practicing Falun Dafa with me since he was a child. He recently began to feel he earned too little at his job, so earlier this year he resigned and opened his own shop. The shop did not make much money so he switched to something else. In order for the shop to lose less money, I used my spare time taking care of it. We are both practitioners but we paid too much attention to making money. The old forces saw our loopholes and took advantage of it, and sadly lead to this serious result.
As a result of the car accident my leg had some scratches. My chest was so painful that I could barely breath. According to everyday people's experience, my ribs were probably broken. But my mind stayed undisturbed. I hurried home to study the Fa, do the exercises, and send righteous thoughts. In two weeks everything returned to normal. My family witnessed once more the wonder of Dafa.
The old forces were still not finished with me. Several days later some small lumps appeared on my back that were very itchy and painful. I did not pay attention at the beginning, thinking I might have got some ant bites. A week later, it got worse. I could barely lift my arms. I asked my husband to have a look, and he said, “Oh no, it looks like herpes zoster!”
I had this illness before I started to practice Falun Dafa. People say one may die if the sores spread over the body. It was terribly itchy and painful. Last time it almost went to my heart. It was only healed after I went through many medical treatments. The old forces were now using this symptom to persecute me. I would not acknowledge it. I increased sending righteous thoughts and doing the exercises.
Letting Go of My Attachment to Gain
One day I talked with a fellow practitioner about it. She said, “Don't take it seriously. Suffocate it!” I knew she was right. I thought, “Old forces, I'm not cooperating with you! Dissolve it!” I ignored it. After three days, it disappeared completely, without even a single scar! Thank you again Master who is always with us and waiting for us to improve. Since then I let go of my attachment to gain. I didn't think anymore about earning money. I make the best use of my time to do the three things. Almost everyday I go out to talk to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution.. Master said,
"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Looking back over the past few months, what happened was scary. The old forces came to take my life. As a Dafa disciple, we have Master's protection. As soon as we look inward and truly cultivate, every interference will disappear in an instant. The key is to assimilate ourselves to the Fa, look inward, and elevate ourselves. I am sincerely grateful for Master's mercy.
Helping People Understand the Truth to Quit the Party
When I tell people the truth about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), some quit it right away, but some don't want to quit no matter what I say. I asked myself, “How can I achieve better results and save those precious Chinese people?” The answer was: study the Fa more.
Master told us clearly:
"...we’re referring to how we tell people about the evil’s cooking up lies in order to persecute Falun Gong; to what the wicked CCP is really all about; to why Falun Gong is being persecuted; and then there’s the topic of what exactly Falun Gong is, which people are talking about, and this truth is hard for people to grasp." (“2012 International Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital”)
I would help people understand the truth about the persecution and expose the falseness of the CCP's lies, and how they have destroyed countless innocent lives. By giving examples, they can understand that quitting the Party will bring them a good future.
One man in my village was very stubborn. Several practitioners tried to tell him the facts about Falun Gong but he refused to listen. One day he came to ask my husband for some help. I knew it was a good opportunity to talk with him. I told him the basic truth about Falun Gong, and explained the mass appeal of practitioners and the false "self-immolation" by the CCP. I also talked about my own experience and how I benefited from Falun Gong and how the CCP persecuted me because I practiced. I told him that the nature of the CCP is evil, and I asked him to quit it.
I could see he understood what I said. He said, “At my age I'm about to retire. If I quit, what about my retirement?” I remember Master told us in order to better save people we have to explain things to them by following the logic of their attachments. So I said, “Don't worry, the gods see your heart. When you know the truth and quit the CCP from the bottom of your heart, you'll get your money and you'll have a good future.” My husband added, “Just quit it now. It doesn't cost you one cent and it will bring you good fortune." The man smiled and finally said, "OK. I quit."
There were many similar stories. I follow what Master has taught us and I tell people the basic facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. Most people can understand the evil nature of the CCP and make the right choice.
