(Minghui.org) Local residents and tourists had an opportunity to sign a petition protesting the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China near the Vancouver Art Gallery on September 7, 2014.

They asked the practitioners who had arranged the activity about Falun Gong and the persecution, and signed to support the petition. Some learned the Falun Gong exercises.

Learning the exercises

Practitioners doing the exercises and re-enacting the CCP's torture drew crowds of spectators. Those who had heard about the persecution of Falun Gong signed the petition and said they hoped to see the persecution end soon. Many thanked the practitioners for the opportunity to do something to oppose the persecution.

Mr. Skinner has been studying Chinese for five years. He told a practitioner it was just like the CCP to kill and persecute people and that it would never change. He was aware that Chinese people don't have freedom or a voice. He was beyond anger and sorrow when he heard about Falun Gong practitioners being imprisoned, tortured, and having their organs harvested for profit. He said that it was "a crime against humanity" and he lacked the words to describe it.

“I think Falun Gong practitioners' activities will change history and change the future. Their courage will change society,” Mr. Skinner said. “They will have freedom of belief and freedom to do the exercises in China in the future, because those who carry out the persecution will learn the truth and do what it takes to protect the persecuted, so the persecution won't be able to continue. The CCP will be eliminated by history.”

Isabella videotaped practitioners' group exercises and their display boards detailing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. She said she would show her family and friends the recording and post it on her Facebook page, so that more people would know about it.

She said the exercises were so peaceful and beautiful that it looked like an art performance. In her opinion, it is completely unacceptable for the CCP to torture such people and harvest their organs. She thought the event at the Art Gallery would have great social impact and would help stop the persecution.
