(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chang Xinqin, a teacher, was arraigned by the Ruzhou Procuratorate in early August and is scheduled to be prosecuted.

Mr. Chang was reported and illegally arrested by officers from the Wangzhai Police Station for distributing Shen Yun performance DVDs at outlying villages on June 22, 2014. His home was ransacked by Cheng Jianyang, captain of the Ruzhou Domestic Security Division, and three police officers. They confiscated a desktop and a laptop computer and personal belongings. He is being held at the Ruzhou Detention Center.

Persecuted Repeatedly

Mr. Chang, 50, has been repeatedly persecuted for speaking to people about Falun Gong over the past ten years. He had been imprisoned for more than six years. He was monitored by the school for more than a year. Mr. Chang was fired from his teaching job when he was released from Zhengzhou Prison in 2009. He has been working at odd jobs to support himself ever since. Details about what he has already endured can be found in a separate report.

Popular Teacher

Mr. Chang graduated from Henan University in 1988. He took a teaching job at Pingdingshan Foreign Language School and carried out his responsibilities conscientiously.

Mr. Chang started practicing Falun Gong in 1996 and lived by the practice's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He did not seek fame or gain, and was popular among leaders, teachers, and students. Even the officers from the domestic security division who arrested him commented that Mr. Chang was well regarded at school.
