(Minghui.org) Several Falun Gong practitioners were harassed or arrested by officers in Longping Town and Wuxue City, Hubei Province during September 2015, for suing the former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin.
Officers ignore that Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising their legal right to sue Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong and causing them great harm and tremendous suffering during the past 16 years. The momentum of this new wave of lawsuits against the former Chinese dictator is on the rise.
Longping Town: Nine Practitioners Harassed and One Detained
Nine practitioners were harassed by officers from the Longping Town Police Station between September 15 and 20, 2015. They are Ms. Li Guizhi, Ms. Chen Taorong, Mr. Huang Niande, Ms. Zhu Aizhen, Mr. Lu Liangjie, Ms. Li Taozhen, Ms. Hu Xuehua, Ms. Mei Zhen, and Ms. Chen Xiaomei.
Zhang Yudong (张竽东), deputy director of Longping Police Station, is in charge of the arrest and harassment.
Ms. Li Taozhen's husband, Mr. Liu Yongming, was persecuted to death. The officers went to her home and questioned her about suing Jiang Zemin on September 15.
“I surely am justified to sue Jiang,” said Ms. Li. “My husband was arrested and taken to a mental hospital twice. In the hospital, my husband was forced to take and was injected with unknown drugs. As a result, his mental and physical condition gradually deteriorated. Yet, you refused to release him, continued to ransack our home and harassed him. In the end, he was persecuted to death. Don’t you think that I should sue Jiang Zemin?”
Officers had nothing to say. Before leaving, one officer told Ms. Li, “You are 100% justified to sue Jiang Zemin. Please take good care of yourself.”
The officers went to Mr. Dai Shoulin's home on September 17. The police ransacked his home and found nothing to confiscate. The next day, five officers came to his home again. They arrested and took Mr. Dai to the Wuxue Detention Center. Mr. Dai was held for 10 days because officers had to detain at least one practitioner. The police told Mr. Dai that he could practice the Falun Gong exercises at the detention center.
Wuxue City: Several Practitioners Arrested and the Whereabouts of Two Unknown
Ms. Wu Qing was arrested at home by Wang Songyi, deputy captain, and six officers from the Wuxue City Domestic Security Division on September 16, 2015. The police ransacked her home. Her whereabouts is unknown.
Mr. Tao Jinlong was arrested by officers from the Shifosi Town Police Station and Village approximately one month ago. His whereabouts is unknown.
Wang Songyi and two officers from the Community Office went to Ms. Guo Pingzhen’s store on September 17, 2015. The store’s employees kept these officers from persecuting Ms. Guo. Ms. Guo’s brother and brother-in-law came to the store after learning the officers’ action. Both were arrested and taken to the Wuxue City Domestic Security Division and charged with the crime of obstructing police business.
Mr. Dong Guoshui and his wife Ms. Zhang Heimei were arrested and taken to Wuxue City Detention Center on September 14, 2015.
Mr. Zhang Shengnian was arrested and taken to Wuxue City on September 14, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated computers, printers, and Falun Gong books.
