Additional Persecution News from China – February 13, 2015 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 30 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Guihua Arrested

Ms. Wang Guihua was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on February 11, 2015. Her electric power cart was seized. Her current situation and whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Shanghai] The Sentence for Ms. Gong Naifang Sustained

The court upheld the sentence against Ms. Gong Naifang. She is being held in the No.7 Ward, of Songjiang Women's Prison.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Jingbo and Mr. Dong Guangwen Arrested

Mr. Zhang Jingbo and Mr. Dong Guangwen from Jinchuan Town in Huinan County were arrested by officers from the Jinchuan Police Station on February 11, 2015, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yuqin Harassed

Officers harassed Ms. Liu Yuqin again on February 12, 2015.

6. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sang Ping Arrested

Ms. Sang Ping was arrested on January 17, 2015. She was released from a brainwashing center on January 25. Afterwards, she was monitored. On February 12, she was arrested again at her store by Shouguang Domestic Security Division deputy chief Guo Hongtang and about 9 other officers.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Jin Lingjuan Arrested at Home on February 8, 2015

8. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Nine Practitioners Held in Detention Center

Agents from the Wuwei 610 Office and the local police station arrested 12 practitioners in June, 2014, and held them in the Wuwei Detention Center. Three practitioners were later released. The other 9 practitioners still being held include Ms. Wu Lanfang, Ms. Wu Jiamiao, Mr. Cao Shengjun, Mr. Xu Jinbiao, Ms. Tai Meihua, Ms. He Cunmei, Mr. Lei Peng, Ms. Bai Qunying and Ms. Zhao Zongcheng.

9. [Morin Dawa Daur Autonomous Banner, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Li Jiucheng Detained

Mr. Li Jiucheng was arrested by Ao Liqiang and other officers from the Morin Dawa Domestic Security Division on June 2, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and distributing informational materials. He was taken to the No.1 Police Station and interrogated there. His laptop computer, two printers, two USB sticks, and 2,400 yuan which contained messages about Falun Gong, were confiscated. Mr. Li was released after being held in the Morin Dawa Detention Center for 15 days.

10. [Lanling County, Shandong Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Six practitioners, including Ms. Wu Shujuan, 52, Mr. Liu Wenyuan, nearly 70, Mr. Xu Qixian, 65, Mr. Li Zengpu, 66, Ms. Meng Fei, 52, and Yan, 56, were arrested by officers from the Lanling Police Station on January 17, 2015. They are still being held.

11. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Peng Xia Detained

Three practitioners including Ms. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Peng Xia were arrested on February 11, 2015, for raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Guan'ting Police Station, where the station director savagely beat them. One practitioner managed to escape the next day. Ms. Liu and Ms. Peng are still being held.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Xu Nixia Detained

Ms. Xu Nixia was arrested for talking about Falun Gong on February 6, 2015. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

13. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Huimei's Home Ransacked

Two plainclothes officers from the Changyi Domestic Security Division ransacked Ms. Yu Huimei's home in Xiaoying Village, Yinma Town on February 12, 2015. They seized a music player, an MP5 player, two MP3 players and about 30 copies of Falun Gong books. Ms. Yu managed to escape and avoided being arrested.

14. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Four practitioners from Xiheying Town, including Ms. Liang Zhongzhi and Ms. Zhang Yulan, were arrested on February 9, 2015. They are being held at the Wei Police Department.

15. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Yang Yulan Detained

Ms. Yang Yulan from Zhongwei City was arrested by railway police in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province on January 26, 2015, when she was on a train to Guangzhou City.

16. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Cheng Laihua Held in Jiangxi Women's Prison

17. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Panshan Court tried Ms. Li Yan on December 12, 2014 and issued a written judgment on January 19, 2015. Ms. Li was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Ms. Li Yan, along with Ms. Li Guiling, were arrested by officers from the Panjin Police Department Gaosheng Branch on October 20, 2014, for distributing calendars with messages about Falun Gong written on them. They were taken to the No.3 Detention Center. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Li Guiling was released.

18. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xu Xianda and His Wife Sentenced to Prison

The Gongnong Court tried Mr. Xu Xianda and his wife, Ms. Huang Xiaoxia, on January 27, 2015. The sentence was announced a few days later. Mr. Xu was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months, Ms. Huang to 3 years and 6 months.

They have appealed to the Hegang Intermediate Court.
