Jinchang Police Department Arrests 71-Year-Old Ms. Wei Fengling

(Minghui.org) Ms. Wei Fengling, 71, was arrested on August 4, 2014. She was interrogated for three hours before being released.

Li Dezhi, An Laiyan, and another officer from the Longshou Branch of Jinchang Police Department went to Ms. Wei's home and harassed her on Febuary 5, 2015. They brought a “Notice of Transferring Accusation,” but the notice was not dated and had no official signature.

Ms. Wei Fengling from Jinchang, Gansu Province distributed 2014 Shen Yun DVDs near Baijiazhui, Jinchang, on the morning of August 4, 2014. She gave DVDs to An Laiyan and other plainclothes officers. Ms. Wei clarified the facts about Falun Gong to them, but the officers took the DVDs. After she left, they also collected the DVDs Ms. Wei gave to other people. They called the Jinchang Police Department, and some officers followed Ms. Wei.

When Ms. Wei arrived home, Dai Baoji from the Longshou Brach of Jinchang Police Department was there and shoved her into a police vehicle. Ms. Wei was taken to an interrogation room, where the police cuffed her hands and feet.

Ten officers, including Dai Baoji, An Laiyan, Li Dezhi, Li Xinhua, and Zhang Yaoqiang, escorted Ms. Wei to her home that afternoon. Dai Baoji opened the door with the key he took from Ms. Wei. Ms. Wei's husband is close to 80 years old. Two officers held Ms. Wei while the others ransacked her home.

The officers confiscated many personal items, including electronics valued at 30,000 yuan.

An Laiyan and Li Dezhi from the Longshou Branch delivered the “Notice of Residential Supervision” on the afternoon of August 6, 2014.

Ms. Wei, her husband Wang Yukang and their son have been repeatedly arrested and detained since July 20, 1999. Ms. Wei was held in a forced labor camp for 21 months and sentenced to 3.5 years' imprisonment in 2008. Her husband was held at a forced labor camp for 21 months. Her son was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment.
