(Minghui.org) I worked for a family in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, in 2005. The couple has a daughter. On my second day there, the mother asked me to take her daughter to kindergarten. She also told me to take some medicine with me for her daughter.

She said, “My daughter has been coughing for over a month. So far no medicine has worked. Her symptoms have gotten worse. I'm worried that she could get pneumonia.”

I told the mother later that night, “All medicine has side effects. If it doesn't work, let's stop giving it to her.” I asked the girl to repeat the words “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The girl stopped coughing after dinner. She was happy and so was her mother.

On another occasion, the mother got a fish bone stuck in her throat. She tried a lot of things, but couldn't get the bone out. Even drinking water hurt. She suffered for a few hours and wanted to go to the hospital. But her husband was out of town, and it was quite late.

As she was thinking about what to do, her daughter said, “Mother, you don't need to go to the hospital, just repeat 'Falun Dafa is good.'”

I smiled and commented, “Your daughter gives us a good reminder. Let's try it to have a peaceful night.”

The mother looked at me and asked, “How should I repeat the words?”

I told her that she could say it out loud or repeat the words silently in her mind, the main thing was that she had to be sincere. The next morning she told me, “The fish bone came out. It's miraculous! I thank Master Li [the founder of Falun Dafa].”

A policeman, who was a friend of the family, visited the couple one day. The father told their guest that I practice Falun Dafa. The guest said that he worked at the Hulan Prison and was in charge of Falun Dafa practitioners.

I told the man about the healing effects and health benefits of the practice and how Master Li teaches us to be considerate of others by adhering to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I told him about karmic retribution, which is similar to the western understanding of “what goes around comes around.”

The policeman quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and said enthusiastically, “I and many of my coworkers say that it's about the time the CCP collapses!”
