Being Mindful of Others' Safety

(Minghui.org) Being mindful of other practitioners' safety has been an important consideration in the 16 years of persecution, but time and again some have not paid attention to this issue and caused severe losses.

Why is this still happening? In my view, some practitioners do not take the issue of others' safety seriously, which is a reflection of their attitude towards cultivation.

Some of the practitioners have cultivated for over ten years, and they have been doing a great deal of work for Dafa. Yet they are irresponsible when it comes to security. When they get excited, they do not watch what they say and forget about the potential consequences.

The environment is getting more relaxed as the Fa-rectification pushes forward and the evil becomes less powerful. However, this doesn't mean that we can relax our security measures.

Some practitioners no longer keep a single line of contact and take others to visit a fellow practitioner, which may put them in danger. Some have gotten more carried away as the environment has gotten better, and carelessly talk about practitioners' specific roles and other sensitive topics, such as who is making truth-clarification materials.

Some like to show off about how much they know. They cannot be strict with themselves or apply the Fa's standard when evaluating issues, thereby putting themselves and others in danger.

No matter how relaxed the environment is, as long as the persecution continues, the evil will stir things up and generate trouble. The closer to the end, the crazier the evil is in its efforts to ruin people. A casual remark might cause enormous tribulations for a fellow practitioner.

Master mentioned in the Fa:

“Good or evil comes from that instant thought.” (Zhuan Falun)

We shouldn't think that this principle applies only in dangerous situations. Many things are the consequences of one such thought.

When a practitioner leaks some confidential information, it may bring persecution as well as life-and-death situations upon others. With such serious consequences, this is something that everyone must be cognizant of.

Several years ago, I told practitioner A, who worked at a material production site: please do not let other practitioners know about the site. He promised, but after working together with B for a number of years, he told B about it. When B was arrested, he could not handle the pressure and told the police about the site. This implicated twenty additional practitioners.

Practitioner C was the only one at another material production site, maintaining a single line of contact and transporting materials. After a while, C felt it was too troublesome and inconvenient for him and asked D to go to the center directly to get the materials.

When D was detained, he also gave in under pressure, and the fellow practitioners at the site were sent to a forced labor camp for two years.

Too many similar scenarios have unfolded over the years. We really have to learn from these lessons and pay attention to other practitioners' safety. We cannot afford to take chances with others' safety to indulge our own attachments.

In order to negate the evil persecution, assist Master in rectifying the Fa, and improve in cultivation, we must be able to bear security in mind and act appropriately.

Through Fa study, we have learned that one's thoughts are the most important, particularly when it relates to Dafa and fellow practitioners. We should always consider things on the basis of the Fa and see fellow practitioners' safety as a very important issue, and the choices that we make in this regard are a direct reflection of our cultivation.

Some people like to rant and rave about what they or others have done. At best this is showing off and validating themselves. At worst, that is indirectly betraying and compromising fellow practitioners.

The gods of the entire cosmos are watching each and every thought of Dafa practitioners, watching whether one can righteously handle things during cultivation.

No matter what kind of excuses we might make, our actions in failing to safeguard others' safety, such as speaking recklessly and not being mindful of cell phone security, are actions that undermine the Fa. The associated consequences are grave.

Master taught us in “Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles:”

“Dafa disciples, all the way until their last step to Consummation, will be tested as to whether they can make it. There could be very, very critical tests for you all the way until you are just one step away from finishing. That is because every step becomes more and more critical to your cultivation and your tests, especially toward the end. You know, those lawless gods of the old cosmos will try to maneuver things until the very end, as long as they are still around. When you are not up to par, they will surely try to find a way to bring you down. They know that Li Hongzhi won't abandon you, so they will use all kinds of methods to make you fall. Having just one single thought be off will make a person falter. So the closer it is to the end, the more serious and crucial the tests will be.”

The Fa-rectification is approaching its final phase, and it measures each Dafa practitioner strictly. How solid is his or her daily cultivation? If one has no sense of responsibility as a human being, how can one be worthy of becoming a divine being?

No matter how the environment changes, as long as the persecution is ongoing, one has to be vigilant, mind fellow practitioners' safety, and take one's own cultivation seriously. Let us not allow the evil to seize upon any loopholes that may lead to eternal regret.
