(Minghui.org) The Board of Aldermen of St. Louis, Missouri, the city's legislative body, adopted a resolution on May 8, 2015, to “applaud and recognize Mr. Li Hongzhi and the practitioners of Falun Dafa here and all over the world for their many accomplishments on its 23rd anniversary.”
It also recognized local practitioners' contributions: “Falun Dafa practitioners in Missouri have dedicated countless hours in organizing cultural events, meditation workshops and classes in local community centers, senior centers, libraries, parks, fairs, and health expos, and participating in public events to benefit local communities.”
Speaking of the persecution in China, the resolution states that “it is the responsibility of free and democratic nations to condemn the act of crimes against humanity and shameless regard for human rights. It is further our responsibility as human beings to raise the awareness necessary to stop these horrific crimes against our fellow human beings no matter the cost.”
The resolution of the Board of Aldermen of St. Louis, Missouri, the city's legislative body, recognizes Falun Dafa's accomplishments and expresses support to end the persecution in China.
