(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners are telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and that practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They just want people to understand and believe that Dafa is good.
Not a Victim of the Persecution
My first reaction was to ignore the residential community officer when my husband told me that she wanted to see me.
When my husband said that she did not sound hostile, I remembered what Master said:
“Once a problem comes up somewhere, that's where you need to go clarify the facts. Don't avoid it, no matter how evil it comes across.” (“Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference”)
This was a good opportunity to change my thinking, so I told myself that I should not see myself as a victim of the persecution. There were not many evil beings left in other dimensions, so most people were waiting to hear the facts about Dafa. I had already distributed Dafa materials in my area and now I had talk to people in person.
After I made an appointment, we met in an ice cream shop while a fellow practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts. She explained that she was required to see me, and I said that I understood. I advised her not to participate in the persecution and that good would be rewarded, while doing evil would result in retribution.
She quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates because she understood that if the CCP falls, its members would meet the same fate. She accepted Shen Yun DVDs, the Nine Commentaries on the Community Party, and a Dafa amulet. She promised not to participate in the persecution.
Persecution Not an Option
Hu, a residential community leader, asked to see my husband. I thought that this would be a great opportunity to tell her the facts about Dafa. I made an appointment, but she did not show up. I sent righteous thoughts and she came an hour later with the officer I had talked to before.
This lady wanted to ask my husband to put pressure on me so that I would quit practicing Falun Gong. I told her that no one had the right to ask anyone to stop cultivating. After I talked about the benefits of Dafa, she asked me to practice at home and not get involved in politics
I explained that Jiang Zemin said that it was political because he could not bear that there were so many good people. He initiated the persecution in 1999 and is responsible for harvesting organs from living practitioners. I told her that those who participate in the persecution would be punished and advised her against it. She agreed.
Everything That Happens Is for Practitioners' Improvement
Master said:
“I have thus said before that Dafa disciples, being cultivators, should view problems in the opposite manner from how human beings do. Some people are unhappy when they meet with unpleasant things. Then aren’t you a human being? How are you any different? When you encounter unpleasant things, it is precisely time to cultivate yourself, to cultivate your mind.” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa - Fa Teaching Given at the 2011 Washington DC Metro Area Fa Conference”)
From studying the Fa, I understood that everything, especially a conflict, is a good thing and whatever I experience is for my improvement.
After I visited a detained practitioner in a police station, I took a nap. My back hurt when I tried to get up. I thought about how only Master can decide what happens to me, that everything Master gives me is good, so there was nothing wrong with my back. I sat up and was fine.
Using Cell Phones to Tell People about Dafa.
Telling people the facts about Dafa can be also done via cell phone, and I started doing that in 2012. It took me some time to get the hang of it. But, my confidence increased the more I used the cell phone.
My phone conversations got better and went more smoothly. On a good day, more than 30 people quit the CCP. But when I did not study the Fa well, the result was clearly not as good.
Someone from Guangdong Province refused to listen and used bad language. I was not affected. Whenever he cursed, I hung up and then redialed. After about eight times of hanging up and re-dialing, he finally understood the facts about Dafa and agreed to quit the CCP Youth League and Young Pioneers.
Some people understood what I said, while others did not. There were those that remained silent, while others were touched and wanted to use their real names to quit the CCP. Some even wanted to study Falun Dafa. I told them that I paid for these long distance calls because I only thought of helping them understand the facts about Dafa.
I learned how to look within. If someone cursed, I looked to see if I still had a competitive mentality. If someone asked for money, I looked if I was seeking gains. Sometimes a person asked for my photo. Then I looked for anything that was not clean in my space, such as lust. Whenever a problem occurred, I looked inward.
Sometimes, people hung up right away. Then, I looked inward and saw my attachments. After I dissolved my bad thoughts and sent righteous thoughts, Icalled again. They picked up the phone and listened to me.
Not Missing a Single Person
From studying the Fa, I understood that Fa-rectification is nearing its end. If I missed one day of telling people about Falun Dafa, some people might miss their chance to hear the facts about Dafa.
One person who answered said, “Do you know where you are calling? This is the police station. Aren't you afraid of being monitored?”
There was a time when I was nervous about being monitored, but not anymore.
“You are a police officer, so you need to hear the facts about Dafa even more,” I said. “Jiang Zemin misled you. The 'self-immolation' on Tiananmen Square was staged. You persecuted practitioners. Now, more than 30 high level officials, including Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan, are being sued in overseas courts. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong will investigate the persecutors, no matter how far and wide they have to search.”
I asked him to quit the CCP, gave him an alias, and he agreed.
“Did I Try My Best”
Do I try my best? I sometimes feel ashamed because I could have done better. My fellow practitioners and I often ask each other, "Did we try our best?"
We go out rain or shine, hot or cold to tell people the facts about Dafa. We are making more phone calls. We do not want to miss a single person.
There've been times when my efforts to clarify the truth have gone very well. I've helped 40 and sometimes more than 60 people quit the CCP.
Unfortunately my attachment to zealotry reared its head, and the cell phones I used for this effort could not be connected for two days.
I looked inward and discovered my attachments to showing off and looking down at others.
I apologized to Master in my heart. I also said to the cell phones: “You are divine instruments and can help in Master's Fa-rectification. You will cooperate with me. I made mistakes and I will correct myself. Do not get angry with me. Let's work together.”
The phones worked again, a critical reminder that cultivation is serious. I must cultivate truly and eliminate all human notions.
