Additional Persecution News from China – September 10, 2016 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 22 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhu Guoming and Mr. Zhu Guozhi Remain in Custody

Mr. Zhu Guoming and Mr. Zhu Gouzhi were arrested on August 7, 2016, and are still being held in the Ningcheng County Detention Center.

2. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Document Details Punishment of 14 Practitioners

The Duolun County 610 Office issued a document to subordinate organizations which details the punishment of 14 practitioners.

Mr. Sun Xiangdong, an employee at the Internal Revenue Service, and Ms. Gao Lingjuan, an employee at the Local Taxation Bureau, had their wages reduced.

Mr. Cao Hairong, an employee at the Radio and Television Networks Company, and Ms. Zhao Jinghua, a court employee, were assigned to other positions.

Ms. Xiao Guanglan, who retired from the Personnel and Labor Bureau, had her wages reduced to the level of subsistence allowance, which is equivalent to dismissal.

Seven retired workers' retirement benefits were canceled. The workers included Ms. Li Aizhen, Ms. Yang Shumin, Mr. Zhou Ruilin, Mr. Cao Wanxi, Ms. Yang Yuqin, Ms. Wu Huajun, and Ms. Xu Shulan.

Mr. Ji Xiaoquan, an employee at the Agriculture and Livestock Bureau, and Mr. Cao Zhenyou, an employee at the Caimushan Township Government, were dismissed.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Xiaofeng's Sentence Upheld

Ms. Yang Xiaofeng was tried for a second time by the Beijing City No. 3 Intermediate Court on September 1, 2016. Her original two-year sentence and a fine of 4,000 yuan were upheld.

4. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liang Guijuan Arrested

Ms. Liang Guijuan was arrested on September 3, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Shen Guiyun Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Shen Guiyun was arrested on August 15, 2016. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term during the second trial. She was taken to the Heizuizi Prison on September 8, 2016.

6. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Fengying Arrested

Ms. Wang Fengying, 56, who lives in the family quarters of the Xiaolong Railway, was arrested at her daughter's home in Chengdu City by officers from the Gaoping District 610 Office and the State Security Division on September 8, 2016. She was returned to Nanchong City.

7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liu Feng was arrested near a detention center on the afternoon of September 9, 2016, by the Dongying City police. His car was confiscated.

At the same time, the police forced Mr. Fu Zhenfeng's car to roll over into a four-meter-deep ditch, while three practitioners were in the car. The police used a crane to lift the car out of the ditch. They arrested the practitioners and impounded the car. The practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Qingquan Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Niu Qingquan was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. He was taken to the Jinan Prison on September 8, 2016.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Shuxian Taken Into Custody

Ms. Zhao Shuxian, in her sixties, from the Hongdao Economic Development Zone, was arrested by officers from the Hongdao Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on September 9, 2016. She is being held in the Hongdao Police Station.

10. [Fukang City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Chen Zhonglan Detained

Ms. Chen Zhonglan, 68, was arrested by officers from the Fukang City Police Department on September 2, 2016. She was taken to the Fukang City Detention Center for seven days of detention.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Xu Yongqing and Ms. Yang Xiao Detained

Ms. Xu Yongqing and Ms. Yang Xiao were recently arrested for going to the Shanghai Municipal Government Petition Office to file complaints. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners are being held in the Huangpu District Detention Center.

12. [Xuchang County, Henan Province] Mr. Lu Shunmin Detained

Mr. Lu Shunmin was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Xuchang City on August 1, 2016. He was held in the Xuchang City Detention Center. The police took his electric bicycle and 600 yuan in cash.

13. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Five practitioners were detained recently:Ms. Wang Shuiling, from Xiasong Village, Zhuge Township, was arrested on August 24, 2016, and detained for ten days.Ms. Wang Qiuxia, from Huoshanzhao Village, Huolong Town, arrested on August 26, 2016, and detained for ten days.Ms. Li Caiping, from Houdong Village, Huolong Town, was arrested on August 28, 2016, and detained for ten days.Mr. Yin Congxun and Ms. Hao Zhuanying, from Pojie Village, Wenshu Town, were arrested on August 26, 2016, and detained for ten days.

14. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liao Yuanhua Detained

Mr. Liao Yuanhua was lured to the State Security Division by officers from Wuxue City on September 7, 2016. He was arrested and is being held in a detention center.

15. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Chunxiang Arrested

Ms. Li Chunxiang from the Chengbei Residential Community was arrested by officers from the Tuanjie Road Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of September 8, 2016.

16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Su Yunxia Detained

Ms. Su Yunxia was arrested by officers from the Sanke Police Station in the Daowai District when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials near Xinjiangqiao Street in the Daowai District on the afternoon of September 7, 2016. The officers subsequently ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, DVDs, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, printed materials, and over 200 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. Ms. Su has been taken to the Harbin Detention Center.
