(Minghui.org) A woman was arrested for distributing materials containing information on Falun Gong at a hostel when a security guard reported her to the police. She was arrested and was scheduled to be tried on February 24, 2016.

Ms. Guo Bizhen (郭碧珍), 65, saw many of her health problems, including diabetes, disappear after she began practicing Falun Gong. She hoped that more people could benefit from Falun Gong. When she went out to distribute flyers on August 25, 2015, she was arrested.

The police told her everything would be fine after she met with the director of the police station. Once there, however, they locked her in a room and interrogated her. They tried to make her step on a photo of Falun Gong's founder.

When Ms. Guo refused, the police called her husband and son over to pressure her to give up Falun Gong. When all attempts failed, they lied and said she would be released if she recorded a statement and allowed her photo and fingerprints to be taken.

After she complied, however, she was taken to Fuzhou Second Detention Center.

A lawyer was hired and visited Ms. Guo twice. Ms Guo complained that she could barely speak and was losing her eyesight. Her head and shoulders often trembled.

The procuratorate approved her arrest on September 30, 2015.

As Ms. Guo's health deteriorated, the lawyer asked that Ms. Guo be given medical leave, but his request was denied.

Her case was transferred to the court on January 12, 2016, and trial date was set for February 24, 2016.
