Additional Persecution News from China – March 11, 2016 (23 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 15 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 were illegally arrested.

1. [Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Shuyuan Sentenced to Five Years

Ms. Zhao Shuyuan was arrested at home on November 5, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. The Karamay District Court held a trial on February 17, 2016 and sentenced her to five years in prison.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zeng Zhenjun Arrested

Mr. Zeng Zhenjun was arrested by agents from the local 610 Office at her workplace, at Forest Park, Liuxihe Forestry, Conghua District, on March 2, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. He was held at the Guangzhou City Brainwashing Center.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Yanrong Arrested

Ms. Zheng Yanrong was arrested on the evening of March 9, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by officer Zhou from the Gaojia Village Police Station. Ms. Zheng is a retiree who lives in the Dongdian No. 2 Co., Lingshuiqiao area, Shahekou District.

6. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yang Qingchun Arrested

Ms. Yang Qingchun was arrested at home on March 5, 2016 by officers from the Huaian Economy Development Zone Domestic Security Division. Police ransacked her home, and seized all her Falun Gong materials. She is incarcerated at the Huaian City Detention Center.

7. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yi Yuqi Arrested

Ms. Yi Yuqi was arrested on March 4, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin while she was about to board a plane in the Longdongbao Airport, Guiyang City. She was incarcerated at the Heishitou Detention Center by officers from the Anshun Economic Development Zone Police Department.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Zhang from Liangjiadian Town, Dalian City Tax Free Zone worked in Jinzhou City. She was arrested on the evening of March 9, 2016 by officers from the Jinzhou Police Station and Xiangying Police Station. They confiscated her computer and two cell phones, and incarcerated her at the Xiangying Police Station.

9. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Dejuan and Ms. Xu Ke Arrested

Ms. Cui Dejuan of the Shahekou District was arrested recently by officers from the Wuyiguangchang Police Station. Ms. Xu Ke, another practitioner from Shahekou District was also arrested. The police went to her home and seized her Falun Dafa books.

10. [Tianjin City] Ms. Yang Chunyan and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Yang Chunyan and her mother were arrested on the afternoon of March 6, 2016 by officers from the Dongli District Police Department and the Xinlicun Police Station. Her home was ransacked. They are incarcerated at the Fengniancun Detention Center in Dongli District.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Wenfu and his wife Ms. Pei Shumei, as well as Ms. Li Yan were arrested on March 9, 2016 by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Changxinjie Police Station in Kuanjie District. They were incarcerated at the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.

12. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Chen Yan's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Chen Yan was arrested for carrying Falun Gong materials with her in February 2016 when the bus she took was passing a security check point. Her whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Yongzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuzhen was arrested on March 1, 2016 by agents from the local 610 Office. She is incarcerated at the Sangongli Detention Center.

14. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Qijia and Mr. Wang Ge Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wang Qijia and Mr. Wang Ge were arrested at Mr. Wang Qijia's home on the morning of March 9, 2016 by plainclothes officers. They also ransacked Mr. Wang's house. The practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Qinglei Arrested

Mr. Liu Qinglei of Baliu Village, Guguantun Township was arrested on his way to Pingyin County, Jinan City on March 7, 2016 when he distributed Falun Gong materials on a bus. Police from the Pingyin County Domestic Security Division and police station confiscated the materials. He is currently detained.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Wenxiu and Mr. Wang Yongqing Arrested

Ms. Zhang Wenxiu was arrested at home on the morning of March 9, 2016 by officers from the Mengjia Police Station. Mr. Wang Yongqing was also arrested on the same day. He is detained at the Xinlongshan No. 1 Detention Center.

17. [Huaibin County, Henan Province] Mr. Fu Yunran Faces Illegal Trial

Xinyang City Middle Court was schedule to put Mr. Fu Yunran on trial on March 18, 2016. Mr. Fu was arrested on September 2, 2015.

18. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Tan Meihua from the Rencheng District was arrested on March 3, 2016 by officers from the Dongmen Police Station. Ms. Zhu Yingqi was arrested by officers from the Hongxingxinchun Police Station. Ms. Yu Meirong was arrested by officers from the Liuxing Police Station, Gaoxin District.

19. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Xiazhuang Town Falun Gong practitioners – Ms. Xu Xiuzhen and her husband Mr. Qin Songfa, as well as Ms. Wang Aixiang and her daughter Ms. Xu Li were arrested on March 5, 2016 by officers from the Xiazhuang Town Police Station. Their homes were ransacked. Police confiscated Mr. Qin's Falun Gong books, electric bicycles, cell phone, recorder, and more than 2,000 yuan in cash.

20. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shufen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shufen was arrested at the end of February, 2016

21. [Gongqingcheng City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Cheng Illegally Sentenced

Mr. Wang Cheng was arrested on January 3, 2016, and detained at the Dean County Detention Center. He was sentenced to one year in prison by the Gongqingcheng Court on January 22, 2016.
