(Minghui.org) Ms. Wu Yan was arrested at home by officers from the Balitai Police Station in Nankai District, Tianjin, on March 4, 2016 for refusing to give up practicing Falun Dafa. She was taken to the Nankai Detection Center and released on April 8.
Ms. Wu, in her 50s, was a graduate of Tianjin University, is a former employee at the Tianjin Chengjian University, and a business owner.
While at the University, she helped many students attain high scholastic achievements and she saw them become the elite in the industry. She was highly respected and helpful to her colleagues and students.
Falun Dafa Changed Life Expectancy
Ms. Wu was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, an illness with no known cure. It is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease of the axial skeleton, which might cause some of the vertebrae in the spine to grow or fuse together, resulting in a rigid spine.
She suffered many of the symptoms of her affliction, which made her an invalid. She could no longer roll over when in bed, squat down, or bend over, and even to walk became a problem.
To gain relief, she searched for a cure. She tried Chinese and Western medicines, as well as different qigong practices. However, there was nothing that improved her condition, instead it worsened.
She then was introduced to Falun Dafa. She read the Falun Dafa books and did the exercises, and soon all her symptoms disappeared. She saw hope in her renewed life.
