(Minghui.org) Mr. Deng Hui's trial at the Jianshui County Court is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on March 25, 2016. He was arrested for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the communist regime.

When his lawyer informed him of the court date on March 17, he said that he hoped that his father would not attend the trial, as it would be too emotionally taxing on him.

Mr. Deng was arrested at Jianshui Train Station on October 5, 2015, after a brief visit to his elderly father. After a body search, the police did not find anything. They then searched his apartment in Kunming and seized his Falun Gong books and informational materials.

Using these materials as evidence, Jianshui police took him to a detention center.

This is Mr. Deng’s fifth arrest for practicing Falun Gong. He was sent to nearly three years of forced labor in July 2001 and released in April 2004.

A few months later, he was arrested again, taken back to the labor camp, and detained until September 2007.

The arrests and police harassment have made it difficult for him to keep a steady job. He began work as a security guard at a sports training facility in Kunming in 2008, but his employer was ordered by police to dismiss him.
