Zhang Linzhao from Henan Province Secretly Sentenced

(Minghui.org) 65-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Linzhao from Xinye County, Nanyang City was secretly sentenced and sent to Zhengzhou Prison on the morning of June 2, 2016.

The Xinye County Court tried Mr. Zhang on March 14, 2016. The trial was adjourned without a verdict. Mr. Zhang's family just recently received a sentencing notification.

Mr. Zhang is a retiree from Xinye County Civil Affairs Bureau. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, after which he became healthy, and was admired by his neighbors and colleagues.

Mr. Zhang was repeatedly persecuted after Jiang Zemin started the persecution of Falun Gong. He was detained and sent to a labor camp. His home had also been ransacked, and his wages and pensions suspended.

Mr. Zhang filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin for his 16 years of suffering in June 2015.

On the morning of August 20, 2015, Mr. Zhang was arrested by Peng Zenglan and Chen Changjiang (from the Domestic Security Division), as well as officers from Lihepu Town Police Station. His home was raided, and Falun Gong books, computers, and other personal belongings were confiscated.
