(Minghui.org) I am a practitioner in a remote village, where most fellow practitioners are elderly and have had limited formal education.

In October 2015, I obtained a copy of Master Li’s new lecture in which he mentioned that Falun Dafa practitioners should sue former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin for starting and maintaining the persecution of Falun Dafa.

As the practitioner who had been persecuted the most in our local area, I wanted to file a complaint. I discussed the idea with another practitioner who strongly encouraged me, and I began drafting the legal documents.

However, the local police became aware of my intentions. Some officers came to my home to harass and threaten me. They told me to give up my legal pursuit, or they would order the pension bureau to terminate my husband's disability allowance or even “remove” me.

Government officials showed up, too. They were strangers, but they just walked into my home and looked around. They told me to not file charges against Jiang and threatened my husband.

My husband was later hospitalized. The police harassed me while I was taking care of him in the hospital. They also ordered the doctors and nurses to watch me and threaten me.

I tried to explain the facts about Falun Gong to the medical staff, but they were too scared to listen. So I told them they should focus on doing their jobs well, rather than assisting the police in carrying out Jiang Zemin's criminal acts. The doctors and nurses stopped watching me for the police.

The police called me at the hospital frequently, but hung up once I picked up the receiver. They also called the nurses to check to see if I was there. The harassment lasted from December 2015 through March 2016.

Several officers came to my home with a recorder on March 7, 2016. Knowing that they were recording me, I said loudly, “I am writing my cultivation experiences. Does that violate any law?” I showed them my draft and told them about the crimes committed by Jiang and his followers.

I told my husband the next day, “I am going to mail the complaint tomorrow before they can detain me. If I can't take care of you because I have been detained, you will have to move to our daughter's home.” He agreed.

I had a nice dream that night, in which I went to a magnificent place.

Filled with courage, I went to a post office to mail my complaint on March 9. Surprisingly, no officer or official harassed me that day. I went back to the post office on March 17 to see if the file had arrived at its destination and was informed that delivery was confirmed on March 11.

I returned home and told the person who was assigned to watch me every day, “My lawsuit against Jiang has already been delivered.” He refused to believe me and called the police to tell them to arrest me.

Five police officers showed up at my home, looking menacing. I was washing a rice cooker at that time, so I used the time to calm down and adjust my mind. I calmly brought them chairs and invited them to sit down.

The head of the police station said, “I heard you sued Jiang Zemin.”

“Yes,” I answered.

“Who dared accept the case?” he asked.

I took out the delivery slip and a copy of my lawsuit and passed the documents to him.

“Jiang Zemin?” he murmured. “You had it delivered.”

“How did you know how to do all this?” another officer asked.

“Because I care about myself and my rights,” I said, avoiding answering the question directly.

“Who is the chief procurator?” They kept asking questions about the legal process, and I told them what I knew about it. They said they did not know anything about filing lawsuits.

“As police officers, you didn't know about such a big deal?” I said. They all looked embarrassed.

I continued, “You police could be sued as well, because you are carrying out the persecution. Indeed you are the real victims. The persecution that we are facing is temporary, but you became criminals because of Jiang's lies. I feel bad for you.”

They all looked defeated. I told them that they should stop following Jiang's lead and assist in upholding justice. I also told them that I had written a letter and sent it to local police offices at different levels. The letter was about Falun Gong and why I sued Jiang Zemin, as well as the harassment and illegal acts conducted by police officers in our area. I told them that, if not for the sake of their futures, I would have sent the letter to the Supreme People's Procuratorate or the Supreme Court.

After this incident, all the officials and officers stopped harassing me and my family. I made a number of copies of my complaint and gave them to people. Apparently, many people liked to hear about the lawsuits against Jiang, even police officers. Some officers told me that they regretted what they had done. I can now even do the Falun Gong exercises in public.

Once we are determined to do what we are supposed to do as Dafa practitioners, Master will pave the way.
