(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Suying, 48, was illegally sentenced a second time to three years and six months in prison on October 11, 2016.
Ms. Zhu was arrested by Zezhou County police officers on June 13, 2016, when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police ransacked her home the same evening and confiscated many Dafa materials and personal belongings.
She has been detained in Jincheng Detention Center since the arrest, where she has been forced to do manual labor and is currently exposed to the harsh winter conditions.
Previous Detention
Ms. Zhu was fired from her job for refusing to give up her belief after the persecution started in 1999.
On March 2, 2006, she was arrested in a massive search for practitioners by the police. She was sentenced to one year in the Jincheng Detention Center.
Ms. Zhu has endured severe torture during her detention. She lost more than 44 pounds in less than a year because of poor nutrition and long hours of forced labor. She was at the brink of death from the excessive weight loss.
Ms. Zhu was rushed to the hospital twice by her family because of persecution during her incarceration. She still has not paid off the debt of more than 10,000 yuan for her medical expenses.
