The Paintings Have a Sad Side, But They Also Give Hope
(Minghui.org) Nearly 300 students from four schools in Barranco, Peru came to the Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) Art Exhibition held at El Centro Cultural Juan Parra Del Riego on November 21 through December 5, 2017.
All painted by Falun Gong practitioners, the artworks show the beauty of this ancient Chinese self-improvement cultivation practice and expose the brutal persecution of it in China.
Due to the unexpectedly large number of visitors, the culture center extended the exhibition from 10 days to 15 days.
Cesar Huapaya from Colegio Montero Bernales school said he was teaching what the values of life should be that week, and the artworks provided the best answer. They should be the guiding principles of Falun Dafa: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Patricia Mattos, an art teacher from Colegio Tacna, thanked the organizer for the invitation and the chance for her and her students to learn about the persecution.
Mattos said that the painting "The tears of an orphan" touched her. The girl in the painting is holding her parents' ashes with tears on her cheeks. Every detail touched people's hearts.
Many students from Colegio Sagrado Corazon left comments in the guestbook. One said, “I am sad to see that the Chinese people are killed for their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Another one said, “I like all the artworks. They have a sad side, but also give me hope.” Another one said, “This is my first time hearing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It is great. I will follow it.”
