(Minghui.org) Reports on events commemorating the April 25 peaceful demonstration of over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing in 1999 have been pouring in to the Minghui website from around the world. The following are photos from these events in Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Indonesia.

Melbourne, Australia

Practitioners held rows of banners in downtown Melbourne on April 25 to tell the public about the persecution, and at night they held a candlelight vigil.

Amy Harrison has seen practitioners' events in Thailand. She believes the persecution is absolutely wrong, and that  Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will prevail.

Michael Quinn knows about Falun Gong. He said this practice improves people's health and has brought happiness to Chinese. He said the Chinese government's treatment of the group is wrong.

Helen Kent, a high school teacher, was shocked to learn about the persecution. She is concerned that the media has not adequately informed the public about it, because many of her students, especially those from China, are unaware of it.

Sydney, Australia

Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney held multiple events at the Chinese consulate and Hyde Park on April 24, including a rally, signature collection, and candlelight vigil.

Ms. Burns, a local scientist, said she was glad to have a chance to sign in support of Falun Gong.

Practitioner Liu Jintao was jailed and tortured in China. He escaped to Australia. At the rally, he said: “I have the chance to participate in all kinds of Falun Gong activities in Australia. I try my best to expose this brutal persecution and tell people my own experiences. I need to let the world and Australians know what has been happening in China. I hope the international community will take action to stop the persecution.”

Queensland, Australia

A rally and signature collection was held at Brisbane Square in Queensland on April 23.

Marja-Liisa said she admires Falun Gong practitioners' spirit. She saw their 24-hour protest in front of the Chinese embassy in London every day.

Local resident Toni said the Australian government should help stop the persecution.

Danielle and Felicity condemned the state-sanctioned organ harvesting in China and signed a petition to support Falun Gong.

Jessica also called for an end to forced organ harvesting.

Canberra, Australia

At the capital of Australia, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front the Chinese embassy on April 25, in memory of those who lost their lives in the 18-year long persecution.

Seoul, South Korea

Practitioners in Seoul held a rally and a press conference in front the Chinese embassy on April 25.

The spokesman of the Falun Dafa Association in South Korea gave a speech calling for an end to the persecution.

Kumamoto, Japan

Practitioners in Kumamoto held two events in front of the Chinese consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, respectively on April 22.

The attendees read an announcement, which pointed out that the persecution of Falun Gong is not only a disaster in China, but also brings harm to the whole world, for it is the persecution of morality, laws, and justice.

Jakarta, Indonesia

A commemoration event in Jakarta was held in front of the Chinese embassy on April 25. Attendees re-enacted the forced organ harvesting that the Communist Party has conducted on Falun Gong practitioners during the persecution, and called upon the public to help stop this crime.

Many people signed the petition to condemn the persecution.

Representatives from the human rights organization, Indonesia Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), gave speeches and held banners at the event to support Falun Gong's peaceful resistance.
