(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa club at Columbia University put up a display on Falun Dafa in front of the library for five days from October 1 to 5, 2018. Posters showcased the benefits of the practice and its worldwide popularity, and exposed the horrific persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, including the regime's crime of harvesting organs from imprisoned practitioners for sale to transplant patients.

Park Yeon-mi, a student at Columbia University, stopped at the display to learn more. Though she herself had defected from North Korea, she had trouble understanding why such a peaceful practice was so brutally persecuted in China. “I have gained a better understanding through these posters, especially the information on organ harvesting. I thought these were rumors. Now I realize that these are true.”

Retired teacher Eleanor Rivera who happened to walk past the display was shocked to read about imprisoned Falun Dafa practitioners' organs being harvested while they were still alive. She said, “This is so unjust. These people have no freedom to believe in God and are persecuted for their beliefs.”

Mr. Zhang, a graduate student from China, appreciated the opportunity to read about Falun Dafa from a different perspective. “We cannot simply listen to the one-sided propaganda in China,” he said. “I feel that one day Falun Dafa practitioners' grievances will be redressed.”

Falun Dafa club members demonstrated the exercises next to the display. Several who stopped to watch commented on how calming the practice seems. Retired teacher Eleanor Rivera said, “The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are wonderful. We are designed by God to follow these virtues.”
