(Minghui.org) After the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, an officer from the county police station was instructed to monitor me. Every few days, he would come to my workplace and pressure me into giving up practicing.

I told him that the Chinese constitution states that citizens have the right to freedom of belief. I told him about the positive changes I'd experienced after I began practicing. I also told him how people became upright and moral after they began to practice Falun Dafa.

He gradually got to know me better and knew I was a kind person. My manager and co-workers told him I was a diligent and responsible employee, and that every year I received commendations for being an outstanding worker. Gradually his attitude changed and he asked me to tell him more about Falun Dafa. I showed him the exercises and he learned some of the movements.

Later, I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He read the book in one day and told me it was well written. He was moved by it.

As time passed, I gave him more information about Falun Dafa and his opinion of Dafa changed completely. He started to protect practitioners. Every time the 610 Office planned to persecute practitioners, he would try to warn us beforehand. If someone reported practitioners, he would tell them they are good people, and not to believe the government's propaganda. Once a practitioner was arrested for handing out information and he released him after he sat in the office for two hours. On another occasion, the 610 Office asked him to send police officers to arrest practitioners. He told them he had a lot of cases to handle and had no time.

He also helped others know about Falun Dafa and how it's being persecuted. Every time we had new materials, I gave him several copies. He put them on the table in the dining area and told his co-workers that these were confiscated items. He told me that nearly all the police officers in the station had either read the Nine Commentaries or the truth-clarification materials. Whenever officials from the 610 Office or Political and Legal Affairs Committee came to visit, he put information about Falun Dafa on the table for them to read.

In 2011 he asked me to get him a set of books and started to practice Falun Dafa. Seven years have gone by and six of his co-workers have become practitioners through him. They all quit the party and its youth organizations. Every Sunday he visits his relatives living in the village so that he could talk to them about Falun Dafa. Someone once asked him, “Aren't you a police officer? The government has suppressed this yet you believe in it?” He replied, “Once you know the truth, you will know that Falun Dafa is good.”
