Additional Persecution News from China – November 8, 2018 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Arrested

Ms. Xu was arrested at noon on November 6, 2018 for talking to others about Falun Gong. She has not returned home.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bai Yaping Officially Arrested

Ms. Bai Yaping from Pingfang District was arrested by officers from the Pingfang District Domestic Security Division and the Baoguo Police Station on October 10, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She was held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center. She was later officially arrested. She suffers from heart problems, and is very weak as a result of abuse.

3. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhu Qi'e Arrested

Ms. Zhu Qi'e was arrested next to the underground passage of Beijing West Road on the morning of November 3, 2018. She was taken to the local police station and the residential committee. She was released that evening. The officers confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, and her household register.

4. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ma Guobin Arrested

Mr. Ma Guobin, 49, from Luobei County, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested in Danshan City, Zhejiang Province on October 26, 2018.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

The Dalian Development Zone Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Domestic Security Division carried out a coordinated campaign and arrested 19 practitioners on October 8, 2017. Nine practitioners were sentenced to prison.

Ms. Zhou Haiyan, 51, was sentenced to eight years in prison.Ms. Jia Xiuchun, 41, was sentenced to two years in prison.Ms. Shi Ningyao, 39, was sentenced to five years in prison.Ms. Fang Fang, 55, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.Ms. Lin Jingping, 46, was sentenced to four years in prison.Ms. Hu Zhiqin, 58, was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.Ms. Lai Guifang, 42, was sentenced to seven years in prison.Ms. Cao E, 55, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.Mr. Hao Fukui, 81, was sentenced to three years in prison.

Ms. Zhou and Ms. Hu are being held in the detention center. The other seven practitioners have been taken to prison.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Huili Arrested

Ms. Qu Huili from Pingdu City was intercepted at the entrance of Jiaozhou Expressway on October 18, 2018. She was searched and arrested.

7. [Huahua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Aihua Detained

Ms. Zhou Aihua and Ms. Tan Xianju from Jingzhou County were arrested and taken to the Jingzhou County Police Department by officers from the Sanqiao Township Police Station when they were distributing Falun Gong materials in Sanqiao Township, Jingzhou County on November 4, 2018.

Ms. Zhou was taken to the county detention center. She returned home on November 7.

8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Pan Yuxia Detained

Ms. Pan Yuxia from Dachang District was arrested on November 2, 2018. She was taken to the Nanjing City Detention Center.

9. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Xu Yixiang and Wife Detained

Mr. Xu Yixiang and his wife from Guangshan County were arrested by Zhou Xinchun, the head of the Guangshan County Domestic Security Division, and other officers on October 19, 2018. They were held in the Guangshan County Lockup Center. Mr. Xu was transferred to the county detention center, and his wife was released on October 30.

10. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ling Still Detained

Ms. Wang Ling from Haiyang City was transferred to the Yantai City Detention Center after being held for 15 days.
