(Minghui.org) Thirty-six Falun Gong practitioners in Qingyun County, Shandong Province were targeted in a mass arrest for their faith on November 18, 2018.

At the time of writing, except for a few practitioners who were released due to their advanced age, the rest of the practitioners remain in two different detention facilities in Dezhou City and are denied family visits.

The mass arrest in Shandong came only one week after another 119 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Heilongjiang Province for their faith on November 9.

It was reported that the Shandong police had begun to monitor the practitioners since July 2018, and the practitioners were targeted to fill the quota of the police's gang crackdown campaign.

Around ten practitioners were arrested while studying Falun Gong books together. Most of the remaining practitioners were followed by the police before being arrested at their homes, all of which were ransacked as well.

The confirmed names of practitioners targeted in the mass arrest are: Duan Guixia, Zhao Junxiang, Zhang Yueling, Xu Qingmei, Wang Shuzhen, Du Quancun, Wang Shuxia, Wang Xiuzhi, and Li Jinlan.

More details of the arrests are being investigated.
