(Minghui.org) I am 70 years old and very healthy. I started practicing Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, more than 20 years ago. I have changed greatly ever since I took up Dafa cultivation practice. Dafa cleansed me from the muddy currents of fame, gain, and sentiment. Dafa removed my karma and purified my body.
Dafa Purified My Body
I had been brainwashed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since I was little. In grade school, we were told to pay homage to the CCP leaders. The Cultural Revolution of 1966-76 deceived everyone with the CCP’s lies that barraged people everywhere during this time.
I was a teenager at that time and the CCP culture poisoned me. I was indignant about everything. At home, I was not pleased with my husband and blamed him for not having a job. Outside the house, I was rebellious and attacked other people. Near the end of the Cultural Revolution, I became an attack target myself, which took a great toll on me.
My health started deteriorating. I was bent over at the waist and my legs were disabled. I also suffered from many diseases. My health was so bad that each day it seemed a blessing that I was still alive.
I was so fortunate to become a Dafa practitioner. All my ailments disappeared a few days after I began to practice. I have never taken any medicines since then.
Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, has taught me the profound Fa. He enlightened me about the meaning of life and taught me how to become a better person.
I was no longer worried about how long I would live. I devoted most of my time to establishing a group exercise site. I wanted to let everyone know that “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Master said in Zhuan Falun, “One’s gong level is as high as one’s xinxing level...” I feel good when I can meet Master's requirements to do things. I always follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in everything I do.
I no longer argue with people. I am calm when a conflict arises. I forgive and tolerate those who hurt me. I do not take money that is not mine. I voluntarily clean the stairs and repair doors in my building.
Master also gave me wisdom. I taught some practitioners how to go online. With selfless help from practitioners, I was able to establish a truth-clarification materials production site at my home and thus reduced the workload of young practitioners who make the materials for others to distribute.
I did not go to college, but I write well. My articles and poems have been published on the Minghui website. I wrote a poem to honor Master this most recent New Year’s day. My daughter did not believe that I could do it. She said that Master must have helped me.
Because of cultivation, I look younger than my age. I walk steadily. I no longer need to wear glasses and can easily handle needle and thread to sew for children.
In “Teaching the Fa and Answering Questions in Jinan,” Master said, “When one person obtains the Fa, the whole family will benefit.” Hundreds of millions of practitioners and their families have benefited from Falun Dafa. So did my family.
Grandson Accepted to Good College
My grandson Lele (an alias) was accepted by a prominent college. To the family, that would have been unimaginable years ago.
Lele's parents were divorced and his father got custody. Lele often had to stay late for hours in Internet cafes. His parental grandfather wrote us for help, saying that he could feed him but couldn't educate him. We believed that Lele came to the world for the Fa and we watched over him as much as possible.
One day when he was in middle school, Lele called me and said that he would come to my house to study the Fa. He studied the Fa with our group for two days before his midterm examination.
He was worried about the test scores. I said, “Master will help you since you want to cultivate. You will have good scores in this examination and put yourself in the top ten list.”
He indeed made it to the top ten list. When asked by curious persons how he did it, Lele said, “I was benefited because my maternal grandmother has practiced Falun Gong.”
We often told him that, as a student, he should study diligently. We never lashed out at him because of his test results. Lele corrected his learning attitude on his own. His grades have improved so much that he was accepted to a well-known high school. He also did well in the college entrance examinations and was admitted to his dream college.
Daughter Quit Smoking and Drinking after One Fa Lecture
One day in Lele's last year of middle school, my daughter cried and said to me, “Lele played around the whole day and did not do his homework.”
I said, “A mother is her child's natural teacher. If you are upright, your son will be fine. Lele has already obtained the Fa. He will judge you according to the Fa.”
“Then I will practice Falun Gong,” my daughter replied.
Lele came home while my daughter and I were studying the Fa. He was excited that his mother started to practice Falun Gong. He burst out crying. We did not know why and could not stop him from crying.
I said to my daughter, “This is interference. Let's continue the Fa study. He will be fine after a short while.”
Lele stopped crying when we finished one lecture. My daughter told him that she would not smoke anymore. He was very happy and took away all of her cigarettes.
We all were happy that my daughter could easily quit her ten-year smoking habit after reading just one Fa lecture. She has not drunk alcohol since then, either. Her temper improved as well, and she found an ideal job and has a good income.
Dafa Saved My Sister Twice
My older sister came to see me in 1999. Dafa was widespread at that time. She witnessed my big changes and started to practice Falun Gong with us. She continued practicing at her home before the persecution began.
When I saw her next, she had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and had been unconscious for 29 days. The doctors at a prominent hospital in the south advised her family to prepare for her funeral as she only had a slight chance of survival. They said that even if she did survive, she would be in a vegetative state at best.
I said, “She will not die. Let us recite 'Falun Dafa is good' to give her some righteous energy.” My sister then woke up from her coma. She recovered her health after a while without any further treatments.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer not long after her cerebral hemorrhage. Generally, chemotherapy is needed after surgery. She decided not to take the chemo treatment and sincerely asked Master for help. Surprisingly, the doctor told her children that she was fine and did not need any treatment. More miraculously, the incision from the operation that would not heal and that oozed liquid nonstop was completely healed in a few days after she begged Master for help again.
My sister is 83 now. She is healthy and alert. She said, “I will tell everyone that Master has saved my life twice.”
