(Minghui.org) The second Connecticut Falun Dafa Experience-Sharing Conference took place at Yale University on June 3, 2018. Several practitioners discussed their journeys of cultivation. They talked about looking within, identifying attachments, and making improvements while working on various projects.

Practitioners talked about their progress during the Connecticut Falun Dafa Experience-Sharing Conference at Yale University on June 3, 2018.

Mr. Zhang described how he communicated with theater management to arrange for Shen Yun to perform there. Through the process, he learned to let go of his own ideas and notions and cooperate well with fellow practitioners. As a result, things went well.

Another practitioner traveled with Shen Yun Performing Arts for several months each year to help with logistics and provide other assistance. He said, “It taught me to let go of my attachment to comfort. In addition, I learned to remain humble and work hard, like the junior monk Teacher describes in Zhuan Falun.” He came to understand that only by being strict with himself in abiding by Dafa's principles could he walk his cultivation path well and keep up with the progress of the Fa-rectification.

Deborah said she has been writing articles about Falun Dafa for mainstream society for many years, which has given her opportunities to look within, cultivate herself, and improve her xinxing. As a writer and editor, she has worked with other practitioners for a long time. She said, “When I run into conflicts or have a disagreement, I am able to look inward and find my attachments, although it can be a painful process.” Because she was a manager, she had been conceited, thinking she was more knowledgeable and capable than others. These notions brought her a variety of xinxing tests, along with physical tribulations. “I have stumbled a lot these years, but I nonetheless feel fortunate to be a Dafa disciple who is able to help Master to save people. I know that only by constantly getting rid of attachments can I fulfill my prehistoric vows.”

Ms. Ren has been practicing Falun Dafa for many years. A family tribulation last year taught her to recognize her own attachments and human notions. She said, “My husband is not a practitioner, and sometimes we ended up arguing about family matters. This painful experience helped me to calm down, look within, and look for guidance in the Falun Dafa teachings.”

After Ms. Dai was involved in a serious car accident, her righteous thoughts prevailed over human notions. In the end, she overcame the test of life and death and disintegrated the old forces' arrangement.

Many practitioners said they learned a great deal from the conference. One practitioner said, “It gave me an opportunity to review my own cultivation, and I learned a lot from others' experiences about how to be more diligent. By identifying gaps in my cultivation, I will be able to do better and fulfill my role as a Dafa disciple.”
