(Minghui.org) After Master published the article “To the Practitioners of Vietnam,” I read on the Minghui website that some practitioners in China thought that they should do the same thing as what Master asked of Vietnamese practitioners. In my opinion, this is a wrong understanding.
When I first read Master's article for Vietnamese practitioners, addressed only to those in Vietnam, I recalled that Master wrote “Digging Out the Roots” (Essentials for Further Advancement) when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched its persecution in China. What Master told Chinese practitioners to do was different from what He told Vietnamese practitioners to do. Why?
Studying Master's article repeatedly gave me the answer. Master pointed out that,
“CCP special agents who have infiltrated the Vietnamese government have, in order to shift the pressure away, used money, diplomatic means, and business interests to persuade the government to suppress Falun Gong practitioners. It has done this in hopes of shifting the attention of the international community and mitigating the pressure it has brought upon itself by persecuting Falun Gong in China.” (“To the Practitioners of Vietnam,” Translation by TeamYellow)
“So our practitioners in Vietnam should maintain their composure during this unusual time, and for now not engage in large-scale activities meant to raise awareness—much less take countermeasures. Cultivation is about working on oneself, after all, and removing attachments, so for the time being you can study the Fa and do the exercises mainly on your own, and not organize large group-study sessions or exercises.” (“To the Practitioners of Vietnam,” Translation by Team Yellow)
I realized that the main focus of Fa rectification is in China. The whole world's focus should be there. Situations in other countries should not interfere with the Fa rectification's arrangement in China. Therefore, any shift of the focus from China to other regions is to fall into the evil's plot.
Master said,
“The main body of Dafa disciples is in China, so the Dafa disciples there should do even better; through lessons learned they should become more rational and more clearheaded, and do things more righteously; they should allow more sentient beings to be saved; and they should have the effect of the main body of Dafa disciples. Everything the Dafa disciples in other regions do revolves around the main body of Dafa in Mainland China, and is restraining the evil's persecution, lessening the pressure for the Dafa disciples in Mainland China, and helping the Dafa disciples in Mainland China to clarify the facts.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)
“Question: Whenever we make significant progress in Fa-rectification, some ordinary events always come up suddenly to interfere. For example, the '9-11' incident, the shuttle accident, the Iraq issue, the [North] Korea issue, and so on. How should we view this interference?”
“Teacher: That's right. Why do those countries that uphold justice turn a blind eye to the Chinese government's persecution of such a large number of grassroots people who are part of the mainstream society? Why do they keep silent? There are reasons on their part, but there's also interference arranged by the old forces, who keep them busy with those terrorists. That's why terrorists surface every now and then, distract them from time to time, and prevent them from focusing on the true purpose of their existence.” (“Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference”)
Therefore, I understand that practitioners outside of Vietnam should not treat their situations the same as Master specifically asked of practitioners in Vietnam.
