(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Loudi City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhu Puzhao Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

Mr. Zhu Puzhao was sentenced to an eight-year prison term by the Louxing District Court.

2. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Officially Arrested

Four practitioners were arrested in Xichang City on or after July 15, 2019. Mr. Zhou Xianrong and Ms. Luo Mingchun are being held in the Liangshan Prefecture Detention Center. Ms. Xu Shaoqiong and Ms. Yu Hongfang are being held in the Xichang Detention Center.

The four practitioners have been officially placed under arrest.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Wenci Held in Custody

Ms. Zhang Wenci from Shuimutiancheng Residential Community in the Hongqiao District was arrested on October 1, 2019. The police confiscated Falun Gong materials and personal belongings. Ms. Zhang is being held in custody.

4. [Jianchang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Wanlin and Mr. Wang Yinrong Detained

Five or six officers from the Jianchang County Police Department broke into Mr. Chen Wanlin’s home and arrested him on September 28, 2019. They ransacked the place, and confiscated his Falun Dafa books. Mr. Chen is being held in the Heishan Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Yinrong from Lamadong Township was arrested by officers from the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Bureau, and the Jianchang Domestic Security Division on the morning of September 28. The officers confiscated a printer, cell phone, and Falun Gong materials. Mr. Wang is being held in the Huludao Detention Center.

5. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Harassed; Ms. Wang Haiping and Mr. Zhao Xueqing Arrested

Over ten practitioners were harassed after October 1, 2019, which marked the 70th anniversary of the Communist takeover of China in 1949.

Ms. Wang Haiping from Zhangqiang Town was arrested on October 2. Mr. Zhao Xueqing from Santaizi Village, Dongguan Sub-district, was arrested on October 6.

6. [Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Chunfang and Ms. Liu (the daughter of Ms. Liu Zhengfu) were arrested on September 9, 2019. They were taken to a police station and interrogated. Both practitioners returned home that evening. Ms. Liu Zhengfu, 79, was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Huaiyin District Court on July 11, 2018. She is being held in the Jurong Prison.

Ms. Wang Huafen and Ms. Li Guiying were arrested on September 16, 2019. They are being held in the Huai’an City Detention Center. The police ransacked Ms. Li’s home and confiscated a printer and computer.

Ms. Meng Xiaojing from the Huaiyin District was arrested on September 21. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Huai’an Detention Center.

Ms. Zhu Guilian from Huaiyin was arrested on September 26. Her home was ransacked. She was released the following morning.

7. [Fengtai County, Anhui Province] Ms. Lu Wenfen and Two Sons Arrested

Ms. Lu Wenfen, her eldest son Mr. Yue Pengcheng and her youngest son Mr. Yue Cangsheng from Zhangji Town were arrested around September 20, 2019.

8. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Shuicheng Detained

Mr. Wang Shuicheng from the Chikan District was arrested on the evening of October 5, 2019, by dozens of officers from the Xiashan District and the Chikan District under instruction of the Zhanjiang City Police Department. He is being held in the Potou District Detention Center, and has not been allowed family visits.

9. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Tai Hui Detained

Ms. Tai Hui was taken to the Kunming City Detention Center.

10. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang Renying Detained

Ms. Zhang Renying, 66, from Tongzi County, was arrested on the evening of September 17, 2019. Her rented home was ransacked. She is being held in the Zunyi City No. 2 Detention Center. He family has not been allowed to visit her, nor can they send her money, or bring her clothes or other necessities.

11. [Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Pu Huiqun Missing

Ms. Pu Huiqun has been missing since October 6, 2019. She was previously arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong, and was held in the Yan’an City Detention Center from February 2018 to November 2018.

12. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners on Hunger Strike

Mr. Song Zhi, Ms. Zhang Qing, and Mr. Liu Wei were arrested by officers from the Xi’an City Domestic Security Division, Weiyang District Domestic Security Division and the Changledongyuan Police Station on September 27, 2019.

The three practitioners are being held in the Yanta District Detention Center. They have been on a hunger strike, and are in critical condition.
