(Minghui.org) Master taught us:
The following are two stories from my cultivation.
My husband and I went shopping at the local supermarket. It was crowded, and with my cart, I bumped into a woman holding eggs, cracking several of them. She began swearing at me.
I apologized, “I am so sorry. I did not mean to bump into you. I will replace your cracked eggs.”
She continued to scold and curse me. I remained calm as I took the eggs from her. The cashier hurried over and offered to replace the eggs, saying, “It was an accident, don't worry about it.”
With a smile I said, “That’s okay, I will pay for these, I don't want to cause you any loss.”
While paying for my groceries the woman was still upset with me, continuing to swear at me. I smiled and said to her that the more she cursed me, the better off I am. She became quiet.
On our way home my husband complained. He said I was too cowardly. I smiled and said, “This is what Master asks us to do. Master teaches practitioners to not fight back, and to consider others when doing things. Isn't this how I behave at home with you?”
Not Fighting with My Husband
My husband came home from work one day while I was washing the window screens. I used a hose to spray them and then scrubbed them by hand. I was being meticulous, but he thought I was incompetent. He grabbed the hose from me, slapped my head, then pushed me hard while swearing at me for being too slow.
He was still angry as I faced him, unafraid of being hit again. He looked at me, swore some more, and walked away.
A short time later he found me, and in a whisper asked if I was still angry with him. I said, “No, practitioners do not get upset. Moreover, I should thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
He walked away talking to himself, “Since you began practicing Falun Dafa, I can no longer fight with you.”
Through practicing Dafa, I have let go of my competitive mentality. I no longer argue with others. I manage to not fight back when being hit, not talk back when being cursed. I sincerely thank Master for teaching me tolerance and how to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Thank you Master!
