(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qin Hanmei and Ms. Yang Lili Arrested

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qin Hanmei and Ms. Yang Lili Arrested

Officers from the Minyi Police Station, the Domestic Security Division, and two Duowen Residential Community staff members from the Jianghan District broke into Ms. Qin Hanmei’s home and ransacked the place on the afternoon of October 30, 2019. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa books. Ms. Yang Lili, who was visiting, was also arrested. The officers took the two practitioners to the police station to take written notes. Ms. Qin was released that evening. Ms. Yang was detained for five days.

2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Guixia Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guixia, in her 60s, was arrested at the store where she worked by 12 officers led by Li Lizhong, head of the Economic and Technological Development Zone Domestic Security Division, on the morning of November 12, 2019. The officers went to her home, ransacked it, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Dafa, and printed materials.

3. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiao Fenghui and Mr. Zhou Zhaoxiang Arrested

Mr. Jiao Fenghui was arrested by officers from the Shuyuan Township Police Station in the Dongshan District on the morning of October 23, 2019. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and informational DVDs. Mr. Jiao was taken to the police station. The Hegang City Detention Center refused to admit him after he failed the physical exam. Mr. Jiao returned home that evening.

Mr. Zhou Zhaoxiang was recently arrested and is being held in the Hegang City Detention Center for 15 days.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Yurong Arrested

Ms. Liu Yurong, in her 60s, from the Dagang Neighborhood in the Binhai New Area was arrested by three officers from the Shengli Police Station on the afternoon of October 14, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. At the police station, seven or eight officers dragged her out of the police vehicle, took her keys, ransacked her home, and confiscated her Falun Dafa books. They tried to force her to sign paperwork to renounce her belief, which she refused to do.

The officers then took her to a hospital for a physical. Even though she failed the exam, they took her to the detention center. In the detention center, she developed symptoms of high blood pressure, heart disease, headaches, and chills. The guards took samples of her blood and then took her to the Dagang Hospital. Her exam results were abnormal. Afraid of being held responsible for her condition, the police released her on October 18.

5. [Heshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zeng Weiying Held in Custody for Six Months

Ms. Zeng Weiying, 46, from Shaping Town was arrested at home at noon on May 14, 2019. The arresting officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, printed materials, and a tablet computer. The officers pried open her door and again ransacked her home that afternoon. Ms. Zeng’s parents were called to the police station the following day for interrogation. Ms. Zeng has been held in custody for six months.

6. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Yang Xiaodong Taken to Prison

Mr. Yang Xiaodong was given a three-year prison term. He was admitted to the No. 16 Ward, Weinan Prison, on October 10, 2019.
