(Minghui.org) As practitioners cultivating in everyday society, we need to keep our thoughts righteous. This mundane world is full of temptations that appear interesting, and we may even demonstrate a strong pursuit of these things.

We are lives created by Dafa, the law of the universe. Only when we can assimilate to Dafa and break through the delusions of this world can we help save people.

In reflecting on this, I have a deep understanding of how important it is to watch our thoughts and behavior as cultivators.

For example, when I am doing the exercises and some thoughts pop into my mind, such as I need to go shopping, or I will cook something later, they are in fact interference. Gradually, these notions became a habit. Since I didn't take them seriously, the interference covertly diluted the sacredness of my cultivation path. As a result, I was unknowingly practicing in an evil manner.

Master said:

“As I said the other day, many people practice qigong with wrong thoughts on their minds. Though they are practicing a standing exercise there with their hands and legs shaking from fatigue, their minds are not at rest. One is thinking, “Prices are going up. I have to go shopping after finishing the exercises. If I don’t hurry up, things will be more expensive.” (Lecture Five, Zhuan Falun

“In other words, the fundamental reason for one’s being unable to achieve tranquility is not an issue of techniques, but that your mind and heart are not clean.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun

I realized that our minds should become less complicated when cultivating. The brain controls human behavior. The more simple our minds become, the purer our energy field. Just imagine the difference between a clean house and a house full of garbage!

Dafa practitioners are fortunate; we were selected by Master Li to be his disciples. Everything that we do is under His blessing and protection. In fact, we are just a particle of Dafa during this period of Fa-rectification. We need to continuously purify ourselves, elevate our character (xinxing), and harmonize with Master’s wishes.
