(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Prison
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Wenjuan and Mr. Yu Xiaowei Arrested
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhong Yongchun Missing; Six Practitioners Arrested
4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Xueliang Arrested
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Yuanhui Officially Arrested
1. [Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Prison
Ms. Zhang Shufen, Ms. Sun Shiduo, and Ms. Wu Fangzhen were recently sentenced. They were taken to Jilin Province Women's Prison on November 5, 2019.
Ms. Zhang was sentenced to an 18-month prison term.Ms. Sun was sentenced to a one-year prison term.Ms. Wu was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.
They have been told that their families are not allowed to visit them during the first three months of their imprisonment. They are also not allowed to purchase necessities from the prison store.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Wenjuan and Mr. Yu Xiaowei Arrested
Ms. Jin Wenjuan from Keche New Area was arrested at home by four police officers on November 8, 2019. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and DVDs were confiscated. Ms. Jin is being held in Weizigou Detention Center.
Officers broke into Mr. Yu Xiaowei’s home and arrested him on the morning of November 19.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhong Yongchun Missing; Six Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Zhong Yongchun, 73, from Sanhe Town, Xindu District, went missing on the afternoon of November 3, 2019. He was walking back home from his younger brother’s house, which is in the same residential community.
Officers from the Chengxi Police Station, Xindu District, broke into six practitioners’ homes, and arrested them on November 18. The six practitioners are Ms. Liu Guoxiu, Ms. Luo Zhaolan, Mr. Huang Gangjun, Ms. Shen Guofeng, Ms. Du Huizhen, and Mr. Wei Guohua.
4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Xueliang Arrested
Mr. Gao Xueliang from Section B, Jinhu Residential Community, Guangrao County, was arrested by four police officers in front of his tea shop on the morning of November 19, 2019.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Yuanhui Officially Arrested
Ms. Song Yuanhui, 62, was arrested by officers from the Kunming Street Police Station, Zhongshan District, on the morning of September 12, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers took her to her home that afternoon, and ransacked the place. Her Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
Ms. Song was officially placed under arrest, and is being held in Cell 7, No. 4 Ward, Yaojia Detention Center.
