(Minghui.org) My daughter called me right after the 2017 New Year, saying weakly, “Mom, I'm sick. Please recite the sacred words for me.”
The words are “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a mind-body practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many practitioners and non-practitioners alike have been blessed by reciting these words.
My daughter knew the power of the sentences through me, a Falun Gong practitioner.
She lives several hundred miles away. She owns a store and is usually very busy at the end of the year. She called early in the morning the next day to make sure I had said the words for her.
She said that she still had a high fever even after an intravenous injection. She also had swelling near her chest. She hurt too much to move. I recited the sentences for her. I also advised her to recite them sincerely herself.
She called again in the afternoon, crying. She said, “People told me that I might have terminal septicemia because of my fever. Please come.”
I comforted her, “Don't worry. It is just a guess. Your dad and I will come tomorrow.”
I was worried and did not sleep well. I dreamed that one of my lower teeth fell out. This would be a bad omen to an everyday person. As a practitioner, I did not believe it because only what Master, the founder of Falun Gong, says counts.
My daughter's fever was still high, so we took her to the municipal hospital. Her blood test showed she had low levels of platelets. On the sixth day, the test confirmed she had septicemia, and the doctor suggested that we move her to the provincial hospital.
On the way to the provincial hospital, we stopped by my daughter's home to pick up a copy of Zhuan Falun (the main book of Falun Gong) and some of Master's Fa teachings. My daughter did feel better by that time, but she had not been told that it was confirmed she had septicemia.
In the provincial hospital, her blood and bone marrow were tested every day. The doctors explained the test results to patients daily.
I took turns with my husband and son-in-law to take care of my daughter. When I rested in a hotel, I thought about what Master said about illness and felt better:
“It’s because the way that the universe works, according to Buddhist thought, is that everything in a person’s life normally has “causal reasons” behind it, and the ordeals of existence—such as coming into the world, aging, getting ill, and dying—are as they should be.” (“Truly Taking You to Greater Spiritual Heights,” The First Talk, Zhuan Falun)
I also repeatedly read Master's response to a disciple's question about interference from old forces and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any interference the old forces imposed on us:
“I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them --then they won't dare to do that. So it can all be resolved. When you can really do that, not just saying it but putting it into action, Master will definitely stand up for you.” (Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Lantern Festival)
When I went back the hospital the following day, my daughter had improved a lot. She got better and better as time went by. The septicemia completely disappeared in two weeks. Master saved my daughter from the verge of death.
She stayed in the hospital for one more week to deal with her swollen chest, which was found to be a pulmonary cyst.
Master said in “The Source of All Fa,” Hong Yin IV:
“Zhen Shan Ren –three sacred words have boundless Fa powersFalun Dafa is good –true thoughts alter all disasters”
As long as you firmly believe in Dafa, Master can do anything. I shared this story to let everyone know that Dafa is righteous and that Master Li Hongzhi is here to save people.
