(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 39 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Yan Arrested

Ms. Chen Yan was arrested on December 3, 2018, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her case was recently sent to the Shijingshan Procuratorate.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Hongyan, his mother Ms. Sun Shiying, and sister Ms. Wang Hongyan were arrested on March 6, 2017. Mr. Wang was sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Chaoyang District Court on April 9, 2019. He appealed.

3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Mingjun, 63, Ms. Pu Zeqiong, 74, and Ms. Luo Tongxiu, 80, were arrested by officers from the Jinqiao Town Police Station in Pengxi County on April 16, 2019. The police ransacked their homes.

4. [Guoyang County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Mengshi Detained

Ms. Zhang Mengshi was arrested at home by officers from the Guoyang Domestic Security Division, the 610 Office, and the Shigong Police Station on April 8, 2019. She was detained at a brainwashing center. She was then transferred to the Bozhou Detention Center because she refused to be “transformed.”

5. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Sulan Arrested

Ms. Li Sulan was arrested at the Fuyang Bus Station on April 16, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Jie Sentenced

Ms. Liu Jie was tried and sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term, and fined 30,000 yuan by the Zaozhuang City Court on January 23, 2019.

Her sentence was upheld by the Zaozhuang Intermediate Court on April 4, 2019. She was taken to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison.

7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Hongyu, Ms. Zhou Chunhua, and Ms. Yin Shuyun were arrested on April 18, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their printers and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

8. [Kunming, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Deping Arrested

Ms. Wang Deping, 58, was arrested by officers from the Lianhua Police Station on April 12, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

9. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Daxiang and Ms. Qiao Guilian Detained

Ms. Guo Daxiang and Ms. Qiao Guilian were arrested by officers from the Beihan Town Police Station on April 15, 2019. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are currently being held at the Renqiu City Police Station.

10. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Yanhua, her husband Mr. Liu Chong, and Mr. Du Zhiliang were arrested by officers from the Shanan Police Station on April 17, 2019. The police confiscated their computers.

11, [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Liao Jianjun Detained

Mr. Liao Jianjun was arrested on April 17, 2019. The police confiscated computers, printers, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was detained at the Xuchang City Detention Center for 13 days.

12. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Zou Shuangwu Detained

Mr. Zou Shuangwu was arrested and had his home ransacked on April 18, 2019. He is currently being held at the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center.

13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Sanlan Arrested

Ms. Chen Sanlan and other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Manchunjie Police Station on April 17, 2019.

14. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Huiling Detained

Ms. Qi Huiling was arrested by plainclothes officers on April 15, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is currently being held at the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

15. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Sixteen Practitioners Arrested

Twelve practitioners were arrested on April 17, 2019, including Ms. Wu Xiulan, Ms. Xia Yi, Ms. Fan Lijuan, Mr. Fan Jingtao, Ms. Yao Aiying, Ms. Pan Donghua, Mr. Li Shi, Ms. Xiaohong, Ms. Liu Chune, Mr. Xia Laoliu, Mr. Wang Jianmin, and Ms. Zhang Xiumei.

Ms. Xia Yi, Ms. Fan Lijuan, Ms. Xiaohong, and Ms. Pan Donghua were taken to Qiqihar City. Their location is still unknown. Mr. Fan Jingtao is being held at the Fuyu County Detention Center, and the others are being held at the Fuyu County Detention House.

Mr. Kong Fanguo, Mr. Ge Shiguo, Ms. Zuo Dexiu, and Ms. Zeng Fenglian were arrested on April 18, 2019.
