(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiayin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Junyue Arrested

Ms. Wang Junyue was arrested at home on May 8, 2019. Her residence was ransacked.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Chunhua and Ms. Chen Xiuhua Detained

Ms. Yan Chunhua and Ms. Chen Xiuhua, both from Qingling Township in the Shuangcheng District, were arrested by Zeng Qingyuan, director of the Qingling Police Station, and four other officers on April 24, 2019, when they were distributing Falun Gong DVDs. They were taken to the Harbin Detention Center that night.

Officers from the Lianxing Police Station ransacked Ms. Yan's home on the afternoon of April 30 and confiscated over 20 Falun Gong books.

3. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Huijun Arrested

Ms. Hu Huijun was arrested at home on May 7, 2019.

4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Changfu and Ms. Li Yingzhi's Cases Passed to Court

Mr. Zhao Changfu, his wife Ms. Sun Guangli, and Ms. Li Yingzhi were arrested on August 22, 2018. They were later formally placed under arrest.

Ms. Sun is being held in the Chaoyang City Women's Detention Center. Mr. Zhao is being held in the Lingyuan City Detention Center and is very sick as a result of abuse. Ms. Li was released on bail.

Mr. Zhao and Ms. Li's cases have been transferred to the court.

5. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xie Bing Arrested

Ms. Xie Bing, 45, from Wafangdian City was arrested by six officers from the Taiyuanjie Police Station on the morning of May 13, 2019, when she was on a business trip in Shenyang City.

Ms. Xie was harassed by the Jiamusi City police between 2006 and 2007. She was forced to stay away from home to avoid further intimidation.

6. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Ming Detained

Ms. Dai Ming from Shajin Township was arrested by Changsheng Police Station officers in Ganqika Town, Horqin Left Rear Banner, on May 11, 2019. Her car was confiscated.

Ms. Dai is being detained.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Tian Zhimin Detained

Ms. Tian Zhimin from the Fengtai District was arrested when she picked up her grandson from school around May 9, 2019. She is being held in the Haidian District Detention Center.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuhua and Practitioner Deng Arrested

Ms. Li Xiuhua and a practitioner, whose family name is Deng, were arrested on the early morning of May 13, 2019, when they were hanging a Falun Gong banner outside. Ms. Li's home was ransacked. Her notebook computer and other personal belongings were confiscated.

9. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Bian Xiujuan, Ms. Zheng Yanmei, and Ms. Li Yuemian, all from Beiying Village, Mazhuang Township, were reported to the authorities for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Datun Township, Shenzhou City, Hengshui City, on the morning of April 12, 2019. Officers from the Datun Police Station arrested them. They were taken to the Hengshui Detention Center.

The families of the three women went to the Datun Police Station on the morning of May 13 to appeal for their release. Xie Xiaofei, director of the police station, ordered that Ms. Bian's daughter, son-in-law, and a relative be arrested. They were released later that afternoon.

10. [Jizhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Zhijun, Ms. Ju, and Ms. Ge Arrested

Ms. Ju was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials around May 10, 2019. Ms. Ge was arrested at her shop.

Officer Zhang Xiangyang and four plainclothes officers broke into Ms. Li Zhijun's home on the morning of May 12, 2019. They called in 12 more officers from the Domestic Security Division and associate officers to ransack her residence. They confiscated Ms. Li's Falun Gong books and arrested her and her younger brother Xiaofeng. A sample of Xiaofeng's blood and fingerprints were taken from him against his will. Ms. Li and Xiaofeng were released two hours later. The officers ransacked Ms. Li's home again.

11. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. He Ziguang Arrested

Mr. He Ziguang, 72, was arrested by Renminlu Police Station officers on the morning of May 13, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

12. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuling Held and Brainwashed

Ms. Wang Xiuling was caught on a surveillance camera mailing letters about the persecution of Falun Gong in April 2018. Officers from the Laicheng District Police Department officially arrested her on May 5, 2018. She was later released on bail.

Ms. Wang has been held in the Zhangjiakou Town Justice Bureau since last year and has been subjected to brainwashing sessions.

13. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Jinying, Ms. Zhou Fengzhen, Mr. Chang Gensheng, and Ms. Wu Xingying were arrested by officers from the Huangdai Town Police Station on the morning of May 10, 2019.

Ms. Wang and Ms. Zhou were released on bail on May 11. Mr. Chang was released the same day. Ms. Wu's situation is unknown.

14. [Fuan City, Fujian Province] Ms. Liu Zi and Ms. Pan Feizai Arrested

Ms. Liu Zi from Saiqi Town was arrested at home by eight officers from the Fuan City Domestic Security Division and Saiqi Police Department on the afternoon of May 11, 2019. Her residence was ransacked, and Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Pan Feizai was followed because she visited Ms. Liu's home. She was arrested by officers from the Fuan Domestic Security Division on the evening of May 12.

15. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Peijun Arrested

Ms. Wu Peijun was reported to the authorities when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. She was arrested and taken to the Guangxia Police Station.

16. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Yang Xuefang Detained

Ms. Yang Xuefang was arrested on May 12, 2019. Officers from the Domestic Security Division notified her family the next morning that she would be held in a detention center for 15 days.
