Turkey: Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, was first made public in Changchun, China, on May 13, 1992, by its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. The practice has since spread to more than 100 countries.
May 13 was declared “World Falun Dafa Day” in 2000. On the occasion of the 2019 World Falun Dafa Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Turkey held celebratory activities and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution.
Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Istanbul, Turkey on May 10, 2019. Many vehicles passed by. Practitioners distributed fliers to drivers who slowed down to accept the information.
One man was indignant at the CCP's brutal persecution and said, “The persecution is so cruel. I hope the perpetrators will be brought to justice.”
Despite the rain on the morning of May 11, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the exercises. The sun soon appeared and they continued talking to people about the persecution. Several people signed the petition to end the persecution.

Many shoppers stopped to learn the exercises. After thirteen-year-old Eylül and her mother learned the sitting meditation, she said, “I like Falun Dafa.”
