(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ning Yan’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Ning Yan was intercepted by three plainclothes officers outside her home on the afternoon of June 25, 2019. They forced her to open the door, then forced their way in, and ransacked the place. Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong calendars were confiscated.

Ms. Ning managed to escape.

2. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Xinchun Detained

Ms. Ma Xinchun from Beiheyan Village was arrested on June 24, 2019. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a notebook computer and Falun Gong books. Ms. Ma is being held in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.

3. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Bai Fengyan and Ms. Liu Shuyun Detained

Ms. Bai Fengyan and Ms. Liu Shuyun were arrested when they were posting Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of June 24, 2019. Both practitioners are being held in the Gongzhuling City Detention Center for 15 days.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yue Naiming Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yue Naiming was arrested on October 29, 2018. He was tried in the Fengman District Court on January 9, 2019, and sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan on May 31.

Mr. Yue appealed to the Jilin City Intermediate Court on May 31. He is being held in the Jilin Detention Center.

5. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Officially Arrested

Mr. Deng Yulin, Mr. Zhang Pengzhu, and Ms. Zhang Limin were arrested on May 23, 2019, and officially placed under arrest recently by the Huanren County Procuratorate.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Meili Arrested

Ms. Wang Meili from the Jizhou Development Zone was arrested at work by officers from the Manjiatan Police Station on the afternoon of June 28, 2019.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Xiangjia and His Wife Ms. Sun Qiangyi Detained

Mr. Yu Xiangjia was arrested by the railway police on May 24, 2019. He was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center and is being held in Room 1113.

Ms. Yu’s wife, Ms. Sun Qianyi, was arrested on May 26. She was taken to the same detention center and is being held in Room 808.

8. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Changfu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhao Changfu was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term by the Lingyuan City Court on June 5, 2019.

9. [Tianjin] Mr. Wang Chengwu Arrested

Mr. Wang Chengwu from Zhengzhuang Village, Hexiwu Town in the Wuqing District, was arrested by officers from the Criminal Police Team from the Xianghe Police Department on the afternoon of June 27, 2019. The officers confiscated a printer, electric car, a bicycle, and a cash card.

10. [Tianjin] Mr. Wu Donghong Officially Arrested

Mr. Wu Donghong from the Binhai New Area was arrested at home on April 18, 2019. His residence was ransacked. He was officially placed under arrest and is being held in the Tanggu Detention Center.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Renxia and Mr. Wang Zhansuo Arrested

Ms. Zhao Renxia and Mr. Wang Zhansuo from the Lingzhushan area of the Huangdao District were arrested by officers from the Changjianglu Police Station on the afternoon of June 28, 2019. They were taken to the Lingzhushan Police Station.

12. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Bing Lianfen Missing for 16 Years

Ms. Bing Lianfen, 37, from Guozhuang Town in Ju County has been missing for 16 years. She was once held in a brainwashing center and lived under surveillance at home. After she went to Shouguang City in 2003, her family lost contact with her. She has been missing ever since.

Ms. Bing’s father became very ill as he missed his daughter. He passed away on March 19, 2019.

13. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiumin Incarcerated in Prison

Ms. Zhang Xiumin was arrested by Taidong Police Station officers in the Rencheng District on November 19, 2018. She recently sentenced to five years in prison by the local court.

Ms. Zhang is incarcerated in the Jinan Women's Prison.

14. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guaiyan Detained

Ms. Wang Guaiyan was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the evening of June 24, 2019. She was arrested and is being held in the Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center.

15. [Chaohu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Han Yuming Arrested

Ms. Han Yuming was arrested recently. Her whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Pan Chengying, Ms. Chen Hongying, and Ms. Wang Bihong from Yongyang Town in the Lishui District were arrested by officers from the Shiqiu Town Police Station on June 24, 2019, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Lishui Domestic Security Division ransacked their homes and confiscated computers and Falun Gong books.

The three women have been placed under criminal detention and are being held in the Nanjing City Detention Center.

17. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Sibao Detained

Mr. Li Sibao was arrested by Chibi City Police Department officers on June 26, 2019. He is being held in the Chibi Detention Center.

18. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lin Liqun, Ms. Chen Shitian, and Ms. Yang Fenglan from Pingshan Town, Huidong County, were arrested by the local domestic security officers on the afternoon of June 25, 2019. Falun Gong materials were confiscated from their homes.

19. [Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Cao Guiying and Ms. Chen Detained

Ms. Cao Guiying and Ms. Chen from Yuanxing Town were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in Lezhi County on June 21, 2019. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books and over 2,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them.

Ms. Cao and Ms. Chen were taken to the Baolin Detention Center. Ms. Cao is being held for 15 days. Ms. Chen was detained for five days and has since returned home.

20. [Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Hao Yuhua, Ms. Li Fengying, and Mr. Xu Handong and his wife Ms. Guizhen were arrested by officers from the Xilinhot City Domestic Security Division on May 13, 2019. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Hao and Ms. Li were taken to a detention center. Mr. Xu and Ms. Guizhen were taken to a lockup center. Mr. Xu was released ten days later, while Ms. Guizhen was transferred to the detention center.

The three female practitioners’ cases were turned over to the Procuratorate on June 19.
