(Minghui.org) I have read Master’s 2019 lecture four times. I want to read it a fifth time, but due to time constraints, I have not been able to.

In the “Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference” Master said:

“There are many things that I didn't want to, or could not, discuss before. Once I spoke about any such thing, that ordeal would have expanded in size and become harder to manage. That's because those old factors think that once I shed light on something, your human attachments there will go unremoved. [The old force factors] would have even caused those [problematic] people to go to the opposite side because of this, leading to even greater problems.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IX)

In the 2019 lecture Master clearly explained sickness karma and how the old forces came about. My understanding is that time is running out and there is no need “to be in the maze.”

I looked inward and realized that I have not reached the standard required by Dafa and still have a lot of attachments. There are probably attachments that I am not aware I have, and yet there are still so many people waiting to hear about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I become anxious thinking about these things.

Being anxious is a human state of mind. As practitioners we still have to accomplish what we set out to do. Master said, “Accomplishing is cultivating.” (“Solid Cultivation,” Hong Yin, Version B)

Our cultivation is not simply about personal consummation—it is about fulfilling the vow we made to Master and sentient beings.

Self-Importance and Party Culture

I recently read many articles written by practitioners about Communist Party culture and would like to share some thoughts.

I noticed a long time ago that I often said “I this,” or “I that.” Although it was not grammatically incorrect, I started to think that I was being self-centered and became quite uncomfortable when I said that.

A few nights ago I was getting ready for bed after reading some sharing articles, when my mind was suddenly bombarded with the word “I,” like hail hitting my head. I felt miserable.

I looked inward and realized that an overdeveloped sense of self-importance encouraged by Party culture was being exposed. I then compared an article written by a practitioner in China with one written by a practitioner in the United States.

The one written by the practitioner in China began most sentences with “I.” However, I seldom saw “I” in the article written by the practitioner in the United States.

People immersed in the Party culture are not even aware that their thoughts are being molded around “I.” This is truly frightening.

It is time to measure every single thought and action against the Fa and negate any that are not upright. It is impossible for cultivators to not have human thoughts, but we must rectify them immediately if they are incorrect. Sometimes we know that a thought is the result of an attachment. But because of our “unwillingness” to abandon it, we don’t let go of it. As for things that we like, I think it is time to let go of those, too.

Master said:

“...thinking about eliminating the bad thoughts, karma, bad notions, and external interference in their minds. As you’re like this, think that they die, and then they will be eliminated.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference,” Guiding the Voyage)

Lately, I have been eliminating my attachments and human thoughts and notions for five minutes before sending forth righteous thoughts. And it has been quite effective at getting rid of Party culture.

The following words in Zhuan Falun stood out for me today,

“I think that those who can listen to my lectures in person, I would say, honestly... you will realize in the future that this period of time is extremely precious.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

I used to think that Master was only referring to practitioners who attended His classes. I realized today that he also included practitioners who have never seen Master in person.

Could there be a better opportunity than the one we have now? We are the most fortunate. We are unable to fathom Master’s infinite compassion.

Difficulties are resolved when our thoughts reach the standard of the Fa and as Master forbears mountains of karma for us. Let’s cherish the final moments and not miss this historic opportunity.
