(Minghui.org) A Tieling City, Liaoning Province resident was sentenced to three years in prison, three months after she was arrested for practicing Falun Gong.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Liu Qingxiang, 64, was arrested on May 11, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong on the street. She has since been detained at the Tieling City Detention Center. Details about her court trial, including date and location, are not clear.

Prior to her latest term, Ms. Liu served one year in the notorious now-defunct Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and two prison terms of five and three years, respectively. She was subjected to relentless torture, including freezing, electric shocks, and hanging by the wrists. She suffered a mental collapse as a result of the torture in Masanjia.
