(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 14 provinces, where at least 63 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shuangliao City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhao Jianmin Sentenced to Six Years in Prison
Mr. Zhao Jianmin, 53, was arrested on April 10, 2020 for distributing truth-clarifying materials. He was sentenced to six years in prison in Shuangliao City Court in the late August 2020. He has filed an appeal.
2. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Changhua and Ms. Yang Ming Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Luo Changhua from Guangyuan City and Ms. Yang Ming from Zigong City were arrested by officers from the Ziliujing District Police Department for clarifying the truth. Their homes were ransacked.
Two practitioners were tried at Ziliujing District Court at 4:00 p.m. on November 11, 2020 and received the verdict a few days later. Ms. Luo was sentenced to one year in prison, with two years suspended, and fined 29,000 yuan. Ms. Yang was sentenced to nine months in prison, with one year and six months suspended, and fined 4,000 yuan.
3. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Zhigang Possibly Detained in a Brainwashing Center
More than ten practitioners in Changsha City were arrested around October 27, 2020. Many of them were detained in the No. 1 Detention Center, No. 2 Detention Center, or No. 4 Detention Center.
Some police officers from Liuyang City came to Mr. Li Zhigang’s home a week ago and told Mr. Li’s mother that her son was under “house arrest” at the No. 9-2 Kangning Rd, Economic Development District of Liuyang City. They requested that Mr. Li’s mother sign the notice of house arrest, which she refused. Judging from what they said, Mr. Li is likely detained in a brainwashing center.
4. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested
Eleven practitioners were arrested in Zhongwei City around October 24, 2020 and have been detained in Yinchuan City Detention Center, including Ms. Jing Yuling (about 55 years old, doctor of Zhongwei City Hospital), Ms. Wen Yuxiu (about 67 years old), and Ms. Zhang Yulian (about 50 years old).
5. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Guoliang Harassed
The younger sister of Mr. Liu Guoliang received a harassing call at around 10:00 a.m. on November 19, 2020 from the Jiapigou Town Government. The caller requested that Mr. Liu attend a brainwashing session, which his sister rejected.
6. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qin Shaohua Arrested
Ms. Qin Shaohua was arrested on November 15, 2020 by officers from the Xiazhuang Police Station and Gaomi City Police Department. Her family received the arrest notice on the morning of November 20, 2020. Ms. Qin is currently being detained in the Changyi Detention Center.
The reason for her arrest is an incident in 2016. Because Ms. Qin helped four practitioners in hiring lawyers, the police came to her home. She escaped.
7. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Yin Bin Taken to Brainwashing Center
Practitioner Yin Bin from Yaohai District was recently taken from home and sent to a brainwashing center in Baohe District.
Yin was previously detained for 15 days for distributing the truth-clarifying materials and released home on June 3, 2020.
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Sulian Arrested
Ms. Gao Sulian was arrested at home in Qianyang Village, Chengyang District just after 7:00 a.m. on November 18, 2020, by four officers from the Hongdao Street Police Station. Ms. Gao was forcibly taken from her home and transported to the police station. When her family went to the police station to bring some clothing to her, they were not allowed to see her and were told that she would be sentenced to jail.
Ms. Gao is currently detained in a hotel in Chengyang District for 14 days of quarantine.
9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Liping Harassed
Ms. Guan Liping was harassed at home at around 7:00 p.m. on November 17, 2020 by people from Pingxin Town Police Station and local community. They came to her home using the excuse of taking a census. They demanded that she sign a statement promising not to practice Falun Gong. They stayed for one hour and didn’t get what they wanted. They claimed they would call her later.
10. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Sheng Chaozhu Harassed
Ms. Sheng Chaozhu was harassed at home at around 4:30 p.m. on November 7, 2020 by Director Wang and the staff from Chengguan Community. They demanded that she sign a so-called guaranteed statement,” and photographed her.
Ms. Sheng often received calls from Hu Jingqiong in Dongsheng Community, requesting that she not go out.
11. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Seven Practitioners Harassed and Put in Brainwashing Session
Some practitioners, including Zhou Hua, Mr. Wu Gang, and Li bangchen, were sent to a brainwashing session in Sangshuyuan Community. They were held there from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
Ms. Yang Hui was harassed on November 18, 2020. Ms. Zhang Yuchun from Guo Village, Mr. Chen Sen from Beiguan, and Mr. Han Zhenlin from Jiu County were harassed and threatened in November 2020.
12. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Liu Yuhua Harassed
Practitioner Liu Yuhua (gender unknown) received a harassing call on the morning of November 11, 2020 from Xinyuan Community, Dongchang District that requested her to sign a so-called guaranteed statement in the community office. Liu refused.
13. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhong Xiangwei and Mr. Huang Xungui Harassed
Staff from the Zhangjiadu Community in Chaisang District have often harassed practitioners since late October 2020. Several staff members came to the home of Ms. Zhong Xiangwei to harass her several times. They tried to force her to sign a so-called guaranteed statement. They threatened to suspend her husband’s retirement and make her son lose his job if she refused to cooperate. They made harassing calls to her son as well.
Mr. Huang Xungui was harassed at home multiple times by Wang Hongjun, deputy chief of Aiguo Village, Chaisang District.
14. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ren Yonghua Harassed
Practitioner Ren Yonghua (gender unknown) was harassed at home in Bingmin Village, Gaomiaobao Township of Wangquan District on October 28, 2020 by Guo Yiping, village director, and Guo Baoyuan, village official. They tried to take photos, which was rejected.
15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Lihua Arrested
Ms. Xiong Lihua was arrested on September 1, 2020 by several officers from the Hanzhong Police Station in Qiaokou District. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Xiong was detained in the No. 1 Detention Center in Erzhigou, Dongxihu for 15 days. She was then sent to the Qiaokou Brainwashing Center. She was released on November 13, 2020.
16. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners in Education System Harassed
Ms. Gao Shuxia and Ms. Zhu Yanru work in Profession High School of Bayan County. Ma Tengyou from the Petition Office of the Bayan County Education Bureau came to the school on the morning of November 18, 2020. Working with the school principal Wu Dawei and Xing Lina, Ma Tengyou tried to make Ms. Gao and Ms. Zhu sign a pre-printed statement. Ms. Gao was threatened with losing her job if she refused to sign the statement. School officials came to Ms. Gao’s home later that afternoon to convince her to sign the statement, which she still refused.
Practitioner Zhao Yu (gender unknown) from the Teacher Training School was also harassed on the afternoon of November 18, 2020 by Ma Tengyou. Zhao refused to sign the statement as well.
17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Min Guixiang and Mr. Teng Yuguo Facing a Trial
Ms. Min Guixiang from Sujiatun District was arrested by local police on April 23, 2020. She is now facing a trial.
Mr. Teng Yuguo from Zhuertun Village of Dadong District was arrested by officers from the Minzhu Police Station on the morning of October 13, 2020.
It was learned that all practitioners arrested in Shenyang City will be transferred to the Yuhong District Procuratorate and will be formally arrested and face trial.
18. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guibin Arrested
Ms. Li Guibin’s son received several calls from the Changli Court requesting that Ms. Li come to the court. Ms. Li’s son took her to the court on November 16, 2020 and did a viral test. She was arrested and not allowed to go home when she went to the court on November 18, 2020.
19. [Huining County, Gansu Province] Ms. Chen Shumei Harassed
Two persons from Baicaoyuan Township government, and Zhang Nongnong and Dai Mingjie from Kutuo Village, came to Ms. Chen Shumei’s home at around 7:00 p.m. on November 20, 2020. They threatened her husband to tell them where Ms. Chen was.
Prior to this, Ms. Chen’s children had received harassing calls every day from the Political and Legal Committee of Huining County, Baicaoyuan Township Government, and Kutuo Village Office, threatening them to cooperate, otherwise their own children, grandchildren of Ms. Chen, would face schooling problems.
20. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Dong Xiaomiao Harassed
Practitioner Dong Xiaomiao (gender unknown) was harassed twice by staff members from the Xinrui Community in Yanjiao District. They knocked on the door of Dong’s home again on the afternoon of November 19, 2020 and insisted on seeing Dong personally.
21. [Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia] Five Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners including Ms. Huang Dehua, Ms. Zhang Shufen, Ms. Li Shujun, Ms. Yang Fengru, and Ms. Sister Qi, were arrested on October 26, 2020, and their homes were ransacked. The Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
Ms. Huang was rejected by the detention center because of her high blood pressure, and was sent home the next day. The other four practitioners were under a 15-day detention.
Because of refusing to sign the statement promising not to practice Falun Gong, three practitioners, including Ms. Li Shujun, Ms. Yang Fengru, and Ms. Sister Qi, were sent to a brainwashing center right after the 15-day detention.
22. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners, including Fu Lianhua, Xu Rongshi, and Guo Shufen, were arrested on November 16, 2020 in a coalition action from the Mudanjiang Branch of the Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Police Department and the No. 857 Farm Police Station. The practitioners were taken to the Jixi City Police Department. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.
23. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ouyang Xiating Harassed
The family members of Ms. Ouyang Xiating have received harassing calls over the past few months from the director of the local community, demanding that the over-70-year-old lady give up her practice of Falun Gong, which she firmly refused.
In recent days, her children were requested to stop by the community office. Several people from the community, including the director of the community, also came to her home to harass her.
24. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhao Xianliu Harassed
A member of Mr. Zhao Xianliu’s family in Shanghai received a call at around 7:00 p.m. on November 20, 2020 from local police officer Mao Xinjiang, who wanted to meet Mr. Zhao at his home along with a police officer from Ms. Zhao’s hometown - Pingchuan District of Baiyin City, Gansu Province. Mr. Zhao refused to meet them at home, but at the guard’s office of the resident community. The police officer from his hometown requested that Mr. Zhao sign the so-called three statements, and make an audio recording, which Mr. Zhao firmly refused. They turned around to press his family members, which caused a major burden for his family.
25. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yu Suying and Ms. Liu Suzhen Arrested
Ms. Yu Suying and Ms. Liu Suzhen were arrested at home on November 6, 2020.
26. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Yanchun and Practitioner Xingrong Arrested
Ms. Guo Yanchun and practitioner Xingrong (gender unknown) were arrested at around 4:00 p.m. on November 19 2020 for clarifying the truth. They were taken to the Shenzhou Town Police Station. Xingrong was released that night. Ms. Guo’s situation is unknown.
27. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xinyan Facing a Trial
Ms. Wang Xinyan was arrested on July 6, 2020 by officers from the Shimenqiao Town Police Station, for clarifying the truth in Shimenqiao Town. She has been detained in the Renqiu Detention Center.
Ms. Wang was placed under formal arrest on July 24, 2020. She is going to have a court hearing in Renqiu City Court on the afternoon of November 23, 2020.
28. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners, including Mr. Zhou and his wife, Bo Lingling, Liu Rong, and Wang Muyi, were arrested on the morning of November 17, 2020 by officers from the Dongying District Police Department. Liu Rong was intercepted by several police cars when Liu was driving. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Zhou’s wife and Bo Lingling were released later that day.
29. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners, Ms. Sun Jifeng, Ms. Yan Shuyun, and Jiao Liqun (gender unknown), were arrested successively by Fengshan District police on November 16, 2020. Their homes were ransacked. Personal belongings, including Dafa books and computers, were confiscated. The practitioners are currently being detained in the Dandong Detention Center. The police also ransacked Ms. He Ping’s home. Ms. He Ping escaped.
