(Minghui.org) A few practitioners went to a market in a distant village in November 2017 to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. We finished distributing the brochures quickly and were ready to go home when the police spotted us and arrested four of us.
The rest of the group went home. The police interrogated us separately, and none of us cooperated. They interrogated me again in the afternoon, but I was unwavering.
I silently recited Teacher Li Honzhi's teaching:
“Our Falun Dafa will protect practitioners from deviating. How does it protect you? If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe. What I have said may sound quite inconceivable. You will understand it later as you study further. There are also other things that are too profound for me to make known.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)
“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone does this the environment won’t be this way.” (“Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
My mind was calm.
I said, “Jiang Zemin is no longer in power. Those who followed his order and persecuted Falun Dafa out of self-interest and fame have been and will be punished. It is a heavenly principle that good is rewarded and bad is punished.
“Falun Dafa teaches people to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and is practiced in over a hundred countries. Government officials in China who do wrong will now be held responsible forever.”
The officers listened quietly.
I then asked Teacher in my mind: “Teacher, this is not where I should be. Please let me exhibit some illusions so I can leave here.”
I told the police I had a headache. They let me lie down and called the doctor. The doctor discovered that my blood pressure was very high, so the police took me to the hospital.
Then they took me to a detention center, which refused to accept me after seeing the results of the hospital exam. The police next took me to the hospital for a one-night stay. In the morning, I told the officer who was guarding me the facts about Dafa.
“If Falun Dafa is so good,” he said, “maybe you should continue with your practice.”
The officer on the next shift quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and spent his own money to buy me breakfast after hearing the facts about Dafa.
Afterward the deputy police chief came, and without much thought, I gave him my telephone number. They used it to find my home address and other pertinent information.
I borrowed their phone and informed my family that they were driving me home and hinted that the police were going to ransack the house.
I asked to see our village mayor first, before they took me home. The police agreed. The mayor said, “Don't you worry. This is our turf.”
He had people check my home and make sure that there was nothing that could incriminate me before he took the police there. The police searched my home and found a Dafa amulet. They wanted to fine me 500 yuan.
The mayor said, “Why not let it go this time?”
The practitioners who escaped when we were arrested informed other local practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts for us. Some went to the police station and took pictures of the police officers’ background information and had it published it on the Minghui website. Some called the police station to tell them the facts about Dafa. Some sent letters, and some went to my home to remove Dafa materials before the police got there.
With everyone's cooperation, no Dafa materials were lost. I was released the next day. The other three practitioners were released within 10 days.
