(Minghui.org) The police in Huaiancheng Town, Hebei Province harassed nine local Falun Gong practitioners between late January and mid-March 2020 for their faith.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999.

The officials actively involved in the harassment include Wang Chunli, the deputy secretary of Huaiancheng Town; Guo Yonglin, an officer from Huaiancheng Town’s 5th police division; Du Xiqing, the secretary of Beiwayao Village; and Shi Yongbing, an official of Zuojiafang Village.

The officers showed up at Ms. Shi Wulan's home on January 30, 2020, less than three months after their last harassment and home-ransacking on November 15, 2019. Ms. Shi wasn’t home this time.

Ms. Gao Yueying was harassed on February 29, 2020. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and related materials. They also videotaped her and threatened her not to practice Falun Gong anymore. The officers returned on March 9 and took photos of Ms. Gao.

Ms. Zuo Yanmei and Ms. Yan Yunxia were also harassed on February 29. The officers confiscated their Falun Gong books and videotaped them. They also burned a Falun Gong poster outside.

Ms. Wang Ailan was harassed on March 1. Her Falun Gong books and posters were taken away. The officers returned a few days later and harassed her again.

Ms. Shen Ailan and Mr. Zhang Longyue were harassed on March 10 and threatened not to practice Falun Gong anymore. Mr. Zhang’s Falun Gong-related materials were seized.

Ms. Feng Jihua and Ms. Wang Shuye were harassed in mid-March.
