(Minghui.org) A native of Hefei City, Anhui Province was recently sentenced to 1.5 years for her faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Dai Yumin, a retired accountant, began to practice Falun Gong in 2008. Prior to her latest prison term, she served seven years between 2012 and 2019 at Anhui Women’s Prison for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Dai moved to Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, about 100 miles from Hefei, after she was released, to help care for her grandchild. She was arrested in Nanjing on March 8, 2019 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her appeal was rejected, and it is unclear which prison she has been sent to.

Three other Falun Gong practitioners in Hefei were also sentenced to prison. Their prison sentences were upheld by Hefei Intermediate Court in January 2020, including Ms. Li Guozhen’s three-year-and-four-month term, Ms. Ding Shumei’s eight-year term and Ms. Huang Liping’s five-year term.

Ms. Li was sent to Anhui Women’s Prison in January 2020.
