(Minghui.org) Three Falun Gong practitioners are facing trial in April 2020 for their faith.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual discipline with the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999.

Mr. Xie Wanmeng and his two guests, Mr. Wu Rui (also a Shenzhen local) and Ms. Li Ruihua (a Beijing resident), were arrested at his apartment in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province on May 28, 2019. The police ransacked the place and confiscated Mr. Xie’s 10,000 yuan in cash and other personal belongings.

The police noticed Mr. Xie putting up information about Falun Gong through surveillance cameras and found his residence through monitoring.

The three practitioners were sent to Yantian District Detention Center and put on criminal detention with the charge of “undermining law enforcement with a cult organization,” a standard pretext used to criminalize Falun Gong.

The prosecutor at the Yantian District procuratorate, Liu Xiaona, indicted them and forwarded their cases to Yantian District Court in November 29.

According to Mr. Xie’s family, the police ordered his landlord to terminate his lease and removed all of his furniture without his consent.
