I became interested in Falun Dafa after I read some practitioners’ experience sharing stories on a Vietnamese-language website in September 2017. I learned the exercises by following an instruction video that was posted on social media.
I kept looking for other materials online throughout the following days and found the Falun Dafa website. There I found a free nine-day Falun Dafa workshop at a Tianti Bookstore in New York in March 2018. It was for beginners and it was exactly what I was looking for.
When I told my brother Tung about my wish to go to New York for this workshop he said wanted to come. While waiting for the workshop, I read the books Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun online.
We rented a place to stay in north New Jersey, which is about a half-hour walk to a train station. My brother and I took the train to New York and walked 20 minutes to the Tianti Bookstore. Some amazing things happened during those nine days.
New York was hit by a winter storm on the 3rd day of the workshop. The snow was knee deep. We didn’t bring any heavy coats or boots, but we didn’t want to miss the workshop. Our shoes and pants soon got wet. Then, a snow sweeping machine on the street pushed a large pile of snow towards me. My jacket was soaked too.
To my surprise, I didn’t feel cold at all. My feet and whole body fell warm until we got back around 9:45 p.m. Though my clothes and shoes were completely wet, I didn’t get sick. I knew that Master must have been protecting me. A Falun Dafa practitioner told us that it wasn’t the first time for new comers to go through trials on the 3rd day of the workshop. It was probably a test of our determination.
On the 7th day, I went home to bring my child to New York. As I the entered my home through the garage, I suddenly fell back as if someone pushed me down the stairs. At this moment, a miraculous force supported me from behind and prevented me from falling. Instead, I landed on my garage floor on my feet. I wasn’t injured. My leg hit something hard, but it wasn’t painful. I was certain that Master had protected me.
Five months after the workshop, I had a car accident. The engine and car hood were seriously damaged, but I was completely fine. I knew that Master had protected me again!
Master has told us,
“...you have my Law Bodies protecting you, so you won’t run into any danger. Debts have to be settled. So on your cultivation path some dangerous things might happen. But when these things happen you won’t be scared, and we won’t let you get into real danger.” (The Third Talk, Zhuan Falun) (Translation Edition (Feb. 2003, North America))
I used to have migraine headaches, heartburn, and insomnia, but all of them went away after I began practicing Falun Dafa. Master has purified my body. I’m so fortunate to have found Falun Dafa!
I’m on my way to return to my true origin. I know that I haven’t reached the level of diligence I should, but I’ll certainly continue to improve myself along the journey of cultivation.
