(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in September 1998. Since I experienced first-hand how wonderful the practice is, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched their brutal campaign to persecute the spiritual practice on July 20, 1999, I and many others naturally wished to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa.

I had everything prepared in mid-December 1999. I took a few days off work, picked up my in-laws from my hometown, and asked them to take care of my nine-year-old son, and left a note for my non-practitioner husband explaining that I would be gone for a few days.

However, a practitioner told my family why I was going there. They tried to talk me out of it, and my father slapped my face in anger.

When they realized that I was still determined to go, they wanted my sister-in-law and my younger sister to accompany me and told me that I couldn’t travel there without an ID card, which I didn’t have.

I asked Master for help in making the arrangements.

Something amazing then happened. My sister planned the best route to Beijing and told me that it was better to travel at night, but she never spoke about coming with me. I knew Master had arranged this and I sincerely thanked him.

Even though I didn’t have any money or an ID card, my mind was still set on going. I prepared a light evening meal for my family, took a nap, then quietly left the house while everyone else was sleeping soundly.

It was winter and bitterly cold. The wind was biting at my face. Countless shooting stars filled the sky heading in the direction I needed to go. I could feel Master's great compassion and knew that he was looking after me and guiding me.

I wasn't worried about my trip and felt very calm. It felt like Master was right next to me, walking with me. I softly said, “Master, no matter how difficult it is I will never back down.”

I kept walking mile after mile. After a while I was so thirsty that my throat was drying up. When I couldn't bear it any longer I asked Master for help. The phrase “Water will pass” appeared in my mind. I thought that perhaps the thirst was a hurdle that I needed to overcome. I began reciting the Fa and my thirst disappeared.

I walked from my small town in Hunan Province to Hubei Province to catch the train to Beijing. Along the way, Master constantly gave me hints to help me remove my human notions and attachments.

I met an older practitioner at the train station. Neither of us had money to buy tickets. I thought that perhaps no one would see us, and we wouldn't need tickets.

When we got to the train the attendant only asked how many people we had and let us on. Police officers were repeatedly checking passengers’ ID cards and tickets, but they didn’t ask to check ours. I even borrowed a policewoman's cell phone to let my family know that I was safe.

The entire trip was a magical experience!

I went to Beijing without a penny, and gathered with hundreds of other practitioners to fulfill my prehistoric and sacred mission!

I stood on Tiananmen Square and shouted “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is righteous!”
